What LearningStudioAI Is

LearningStudioAI is an AI course creator and eLearning authoring tool. The homepage describes it plainly: it "turns a topic, a PDF, or a document into a complete online course with lessons, quizzes, images, and text-to-speech narration," then publishes the course as a shareable link that tracks each learner's completion and quiz scores without an LMS, or exports it as a SCORM package for any LMS. It is "Built for L&D and corporate training teams, educators, coaches, and course creators who need finished, publishable courses quickly rather than a blank-page editor." The footer names the company behind it as ScormHero, Inc., with an address in Wilmington, Delaware.

The homepage counter shows 1,377,910 courses created and 856,540 unique authors. The site positions the product as four tools in one: an AI course generator, an AI course builder, a SCORM course creator and an AI course outline generator.

Generating a Course

There are two starting points. Guided creation begins with a topic: "Just start by telling what your course is about," and an AI assistant walks the author through defining topics and choosing the course format, quizzes and recaps. Document conversion starts from existing material. Authors upload a PDF, PowerPoint or Word file (.pdf, .ppt, .pptx, .doc or .docx), and the pricing FAQ adds TXT, with up to 60,000 characters per document on all plans. The AI extracts the text, structures it into lessons and modules, and generates quizzes, images and narration.

Two conversion modes control how much the AI adds. "Use only file content" keeps the course close to the source, while "Use AI suggestion" lets the AI expand the material with additional explanations and examples. The AI detects the document's language and builds the course in it, which can also be changed by hand. Scanned, image-only PDFs need an OCR tool first, since the converter works from extractable text. The use cases on the PDF page include turning training manuals, SOPs and policy documents into employee courses, lecture notes and syllabi into self-paced modules, whitepapers and ebooks into sellable courses, and product documentation into customer training.

Editing Block by Block

Generation is a first draft, not the end product. The AI Course Builder page calls it "A true course builder, not just an AI generator." Lessons are composed in a visual editor from 10 block types: text, images, video, audio, quizzes, lists, highlights, files, HTML and agreements. Modules and lessons can be reorganized with drag and drop, renamed, reordered and split, and AI suggestions can be triggered per block on demand. Built-in AI editing expands explanations, summarizes long passages or rewrites text for tone, and an "Add new section with AI" option generates a whole new section that fits the course structure.

Quizzes are configurable: authors set passing scores, retry rules, question randomization and whether learners can review answers. Narration can be added to any lesson with a single click, with a voice chosen per course or audio left off for text-only sections. Media can be added anywhere: videos from YouTube, Vimeo and other streaming platforms or uploaded directly, uploaded images or royalty-free visuals found without leaving the editor, and audio uploaded, recorded from the microphone or generated by text-to-speech. Every lesson can also get AI-generated illustrations.

Branding covers a logo, brand colors and the cover image, and the pricing FAQ adds themes, layouts and navigation, with the LearningStudioAI logo removable on every paid plan. A learner preview shows how the course reads on desktop and mobile at any time before publishing.

Languages

The homepage says courses can be generated in 20 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic, and that text-to-speech narration is available in 9 of them with male and female voices. The PDF page credits the narration to AWS Polly.

Sharing, Tracking and Export

A course can be published with a public link and shared on WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, X or Facebook, sent by email or embedded on a website. Learner analytics are built into that link: the homepage says it "reports who opened the course, how far each learner got, active time spent, completion, and quiz scores per learner." By default learners need no account, but a course setting can require them to sign in first, so the author sees names and emails and knows exactly who finished.

For organizations with an LMS, courses export as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 packages, and the pricing FAQ says SCORM exports report completion and scores back to the LMS. Courses can also be downloaded as a formatted PDF for offline use, printing or archiving. The homepage is explicit about the limits: "There is no HTML or xAPI export." For developers, a REST API creates and exports courses programmatically, with webhooks and a Zapier integration.

Plans and Pricing

The pricing page lists three plans, with monthly or yearly payment:

  • Starter at US$ 39 a month: 5 AI course creations a month, 30 courses on the workspace, document imports up to 20 pages and a 48-hour support response time.
  • Pro, marked most popular, at US$ 69 a month: 15 AI course creations a month, unlimited courses on the workspace, imports up to 80 pages and a 24-hour support response time.
  • Enterprise at US$ 149 a month: 50 AI course creations a month, unlimited courses, imports up to 160 pages and a 12-hour support response time.

All three include AI image generation, PDF and SCORM download, learner analytics and completion tracking, and removal of the LearningStudioAI logo. The homepage says signing up and trying the editor is free, while AI course generation and the public API need a paid plan. The FAQ says there is currently no free trial. Plans are per account, not per seat, and the homepage notes there is no team workspace, SSO or SAML.

The terms are spelled out in the FAQ. Subscribers can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time, and refund requests can be made within 7 days of the initial subscription. Customers own the rights to every course they create and can modify, publish or sell them freely. Cancellation has a consequence worth planning for: courses are deleted after 15 days, keeping only 3 courses, and shared links and embeds stop working, so the FAQ advises downloading courses before canceling.

Who It Suits

LearningStudioAI suits people who need a finished course quickly from material they already have: a corporate trainer turning a policy document into onboarding or compliance training, an educator converting lecture notes, a consultant producing client-branded courses, or a coach or creator turning an ebook into something to sell elsewhere. The tracked share link is useful for small teams and independent trainers who want completion data without buying an LMS, while SCORM export covers organizations that already run one.

The limits are clear from the site. Accounts are single-author, with no team workspace or SSO, so a larger L&D department working on courses together will find it narrow. The monthly cap on AI course creations shapes how much a plan can produce, and anyone who cancels must export their courses within 15 days. For a solo author or small team that values speed over heavy customization, the Starter plan is a modest way to test it on a real document.
