Easygenerator

Easygenerator is an e-learning authoring tool built so that people who are not instructional designers can create company training. Its home page FAQ describes it as an AI-powered authoring suite used by 2,000+ companies and 75,000+ authors to create company-tailored training at scale, for internal experts and L&D teams alike. The company's site gives 2013 as its founding date and Rotterdam in the Netherlands as its founding location, and its partner page speaks of 12+ years in the market.

The idea behind the product is what Easygenerator calls Employee-generated Learning: the people who do the work write the training, instead of routing every request through a central L&D team. Easygenerator is the authoring side of that. Courses are built here and then published to a learning management system, which handles enrollment, completion tracking and reporting.

Building a course

The course editor is drag and drop and designed to need no technical or didactic skills. Authors can start from course templates or import existing PowerPoint, Word or PDF files, which the features page says become interactive e-learning courses in minutes. Courses can include quizzes and other assessments, videos, scenarios, flip cards, hot spots and interactive walkthroughs, and text to speech adds a voice to course content. Co-authors can be invited to work on a course and stakeholders can review it. Accessibility features include screen reader support, keyboard navigation and alt text for images.

EasyAI is the built-in AI agent, included in every plan from Pro to Enterprise at no extra cost. The site describes it as a co-author that works with in-house experts through conversation and applies the organization's guidelines to every content block, so courses need less fixing before they go live. An author uploads documents with context about the learners and goals and gets a structured first draft; EasyAI can then add content blocks such as flip cards and hot spots, give feedback on grammar, tone and readability, and summarize or restructure text. The features page claims EasyAI makes course creation up to 9x faster, and the partner page says EasyAI won a Golden Brandon Hall award.

Translation, video and coaching

EasyTranslate is a paid add-on that turns the authoring tool into a localization suite. It translates a course into 75 languages from one master course, with what the pricing page calls unlimited translation at predictable pricing and no per-word, per-project or AI-credit costs. With multilingual learning content, every translated version follows the master course, so a change to the original carries through to all languages. One SCORM or xAPI file can hold every language version; learners see the course in their preferred language. A custom glossary fixes how brand and technical terms translate.

EasyVideo creates training videos inside Easygenerator. It converts a PowerPoint deck into a ready-to-publish video, records the screen, the camera or both, and offers 155+ avatars, voiceovers and stock media. Each scene is edited separately, so updating one part leaves the rest untouched, and one click translates the script, on-screen text and audio into 70+ languages, creating a separate version for each. The EasyVideo page claims video production that is 98% faster and 99% cheaper than a traditional shoot, with a polished video ready in 30 minutes.

EasyCoach, the newest add-on, is AI-powered roleplay. Learners practice workplace conversations by voice or text, as often as they want and in multiple languages, and get feedback and a skills breakdown after each session. Roleplays can be shared by URL or embedded in a course and run in an LMS through SCORM.

Publishing to an LMS

Easygenerator offers several ways out. Native integrations deliver courses straight to an LMS or LXP and keep them updated once set up. SCORM export lets a company host packages on its own platform, and dynamic SCORM pushes course updates to the LMS in one click without re-uploading files. The features page also lists xAPI, LTI, private links, embeds and PDF export, and the partner page mentions PENS and single sign-on for LMS partners. The case studies on the partner page describe Easygenerator running alongside Cornerstone at Morningstar and RICOH and alongside LearnUpon at Gusto.

Plans and prices

The pricing page lists prices in USD or EUR and charges by author, not by learner. Each author license lets one person create and manage courses.

  • Pro, for individuals: $116 a month, billed annually at $1,399, with one author, 10 courses and 100 learners. It includes course templates, interactive elements, SCORM export and shareable course links.
  • Team, marked most popular: $582 a month, billed annually at $6,995, starting from five authors, with unlimited courses and unlimited learners. It adds co-authoring with unlimited reviewers, results tracking and learner analytics, a single branding setup and an onboarding session.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing for unlimited authors, with full customization, LMS integrations, custom branding, a dedicated success manager, on-demand training and support, and an Enterprise SLA.

The comparison table adds that authors can work in 10+ interface languages and learners in 42+ languages. Taxes may apply, there are no setup fees, and the FAQ offers discounts for educational institutions and nonprofits. A free 14-day trial gives full access without a credit card; when it ends, the account switches to the Free plan, with content still accessible but premium features disabled until an upgrade. Support includes live chat, and a company blog post says live support runs 24/5, with a dedicated Customer Success Manager for Enterprise customers.

On security, the site says Easygenerator is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, with its data center in Frankfurt, Germany, AWS services, end-to-end encryption and the OWASP secure development standard.

What customers report

The customer stories page carries named results. Morningstar built a decentralized learning setup for 11,500 employees across 34 countries without growing its L&D team, and a company blog post says more than 400 of its internal experts create and update training. Gusto saved over $1.1 million in training costs, according to the partner page. Keune Haircosmetics expanded its training into 21 languages. On the home page, Rob Jack of BHP says: "We could easily have spent AU$500,000 on risk-related training in the past few years. Currently, we're on track to spend less than $100,000." The site lists compliance, onboarding, sales, product, customer success, health and safety, localized and remote team training among its use cases.

Who it suits

Easygenerator fits organizations that want many subject matter experts, not just an L&D team, producing training, especially companies with staff in several countries and an LMS already in place. The Team plan's unlimited learners and per-author pricing suit companies that need wide reach from a few authors, and the translation add-on suits anyone serving staff across countries. An individual can start on Pro, but the 100-learner and 10-course limits mean a growing program will move to Team.

The home page FAQ is candid about the trade-off: specialist tools give deeper customization for a small number of highly designed courses, while Easygenerator puts ease of use first so that any employee can build training.
