VedPrep

Tap a star to rate

VedPrep is an online coaching platform for science students in India preparing for postgraduate entrance exams, research eligibility tests and government science posts. Its courses cover four subjects, chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics, across IIT JAM, CSIR NET, GATE, CUET PG, GAT-B, the UPSC Geochemist exam, the chemistry optional of the UPSC Civil Service Exam and assistant professor recruitment. The reader is a learner: typically a BSc or MSc student aiming for an MSc seat, a JRF or NET qualification, or a teaching or scientist post. The company lists a head office in Sector 62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and names Ved Prakash Sharma as founder and director.

The course catalog

The online courses page sets out each exam program with its subjects, format and language:

  • IIT JAM, described as "a gateway for admission into MSc and integrated PhD programs at IITs and IISc", in chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics, with live and recorded classes in English, previous year paper analysis, topic-wise tests, real-time doubt clearance, progress dashboards and "All India test rankings".
  • CSIR NET, "a national eligibility test for lectureship and research fellowships", in the same four subjects, aimed at "MSc students and research aspirants aiming for JRF/NET eligibility", with concept lectures, numerical techniques, assignments, mini-tests and a test series.
  • GATE, in chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics for science graduates, with question banks, daily practice problems (DPPs), revision marathons and pre-exam booster sessions.
  • CUET PG, the entrance test for postgraduate admission to central universities, taught in English and Hinglish, with MCQ practice, full-syllabus revision tests and short quizzes after every unit.
  • HPSC Assistant Professor (Haryana) in mathematics, taught live with topic-wise classes, a test series, assignments, doubt sessions after each module, and mentoring on teaching methods.
  • RPSC Assistant Professor (Rajasthan) in mathematics, with live sessions and recordings, previous years' question discussions, mock papers, unit-wise assessments, notes and video explanations.
  • UPSC Geochemist in chemistry, with geochemistry-based content and lectures on UPSC Mains-style questions.
  • GAT-B in biotechnology, plus SET, DU and BHU entrance exams named in the new batch announcements.

How the teaching works

Courses combine live interactive classes with recorded lectures. The site says "Every live session is recorded and available for students to revisit at any time," and that students "can download lectures for offline viewing and re-watch tricky topics for better understanding." Each course follows "a pre-planned syllabus timeline and module-based delivery," with "Weekly schedules, revision plans, and topic completion trackers." For doubts, there are "dedicated doubt-clearing sessions and a community learning environment," along with "live chat windows during sessions and separate Q&A hours every week." Discussion sessions led by faculty walk through previous year papers. The program features also include an assignment learning program to improve subject knowledge, faculty support and personalized mentorship.

Courses can be followed on a phone, tablet or desktop, and the app is on Google Play. The homepage lists the platform's tools as live and recorded classes, a "Personalized progress tracking dashboard", "Thousands of practice questions with detailed solutions" and a flexible schedule.

Practice, tests and free material

Practice is a large part of the offer. The site says "The test series follow the exact difficulty level and format of the respective exams. Each test is accompanied by detailed solutions and performance analytics." Study material comes in five forms on the homepage. Revision notes are "Exam-focused notes covering the entire exam syllabus" for revising on the go. Important question papers are compiled to show the exam format. Previous year papers for IIT JAM, CSIR NET, GATE and other exams let students assess themselves. Test series question papers make "a real exam simulation possible", and solved question papers help students "Identify the gaps and weak areas" in their preparation. The callback form shows the exams and subjects VedPrep enrolls for, including SET and the UPSC CSE Mains chemistry paper, with life sciences and biotechnology alongside the four core subjects.

Much of this is free. The homepage offers "10+ Years of Complete Question Banks" as "Instant PDF Downloads" for IIT JAM, CUET PG, GATE, CSIR NET and UPSC, under the label "Premium Quality • Absolutely FREE", and new students can "Get a free study kit (syllabus, mock tests, solved papers, and previous year question papers)". The site also says it runs both "paid and free courses". A news ticker announces rank predictors for GATE, IIT JAM and CSIR NET, and the release of the UPSC Geochemist Pre 2026 question paper with answers.

The two YouTube channels are a large free resource in their own right. Vedprep CSIR NET & GATE shows 275K+ subscribers and 4.5K+ videos, and Vedprep CUET-PG & IIT JAM shows 200K+ subscribers and 4k+ videos.

Faculty

The site says its faculty have "more than 12 years of experience" and that "Many faculty members are former toppers or rank holders in the respective exams." It describes the courses as designed "not just to deliver theory but to develop problem-solving abilities and time management skills." A Hall of Fame section introduces IIT JAM and GATE toppers.

Pricing and buying

On cost, the site makes a relative claim rather than listing prices: "Compared to offline coaching centres, VedPrep's online courses are more affordable without compromising on quality. Students also save on travel and accommodation costs." It adds that "EMI options, bundled packages, and early bird offers make the courses accessible for all." The pages show no course prices; instead, a form requests a callback or a free consultation call from counselors. The footer links to a return policy, and contact runs through info@vedprep.com, a phone line, WhatsApp, Telegram and social channels. A campus ambassador program is also listed.

Who it suits

VedPrep suits a science student in India who wants exam-specific coaching for an MSc entrance or a research eligibility test, especially in chemistry, where the catalog runs deepest, from IIT JAM to CSIR NET, GATE and the UPSC Geochemist exam. It suits students who cannot move to a coaching hub, since the classes are online, recorded and downloadable, and those who want structure, with timelines, weekly schedules and regular tests with all-India rankings. Candidates for mathematics assistant professor posts in Haryana or Rajasthan have dedicated courses, and CUET PG students who prefer Hinglish can study in it.

It does not serve engineering branches, commerce or humanities, as the subjects are limited to the four sciences and biotechnology. Students who want to know prices before speaking to anyone should start with the free PYQ downloads and YouTube lessons, then ask for a callback.
