What Testprep Training is

Testprep Training (TPT) is an online catalog of practice tests and courses for professional certification exams, with a strong lean toward cloud, IT and project management credentials. Its homepage describes it as the "world's largest collection of practice tests & online courses for professional certifications and exams" and tells visitors to "Use our study material to clear exams in first attempt !"

It serves two readers. Individual learners use it to prepare for a particular exam, starting from free practice tests. Companies and colleges use TPT for Business and TPT for Institutions to give a group of people access, assign them material and watch their results. The site's disclaimer is explicit about what the material is: "Testpreptraining.com does not offer exam dumps or questions from actual exams. We offer learning material and practice tests created by subject matter experts to assist and help learners prepare for those exams."

The catalog

The training library is organized into a long list of categories: cloud computing, DevOps, big data, database, desktop, mobility, networking, programming, project management, robotic process automation, data science, security, server, Six Sigma, testing, AI, analytics, architecture, blockchain, business management, design, finance, IT service management, job skills, life skills, engineering and software. It also reaches beyond IT, with USA tests such as the GMAT and GRE, UK tests including Life in the UK and the UK car and motorcycle driving tests, Indian exams such as CAT, CTET Paper 1, AFCAT, IIBF and bank PO and SO exams, and aptitude tests in verbal reasoning, logical reasoning and numerical ability.

The tutorial section lists the vendors whose certifications it covers: Amazon (AWS), ASQ, Axelos, Blockchain Council, Cisco, Cloud Security Alliance, Cloudera, CompTIA, Dell, EC-Council, Google, Hortonworks, IIBA, ISACA, ISC2, ISTQB, Juniper, Microsoft, Oracle, PMI, Salesforce and Scrum.org. Example exams from the pages include AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate and Professional, Google Associate Cloud Engineer and Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, Microsoft Power Platform exams, CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+ and Pentest+, Docker Certified Associate, PRINCE2 Foundation, PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, Blue Prism developer exams and the CCSK cloud security certificate. The newest tutorials listed include CompTIA SecurityX, CloudNetX and Cloud+, and Google Associate Workspace Administrator.

Free tutorials sit alongside the paid material, with study guides, exam FAQs and interview questions for many of these exams, plus a blog.

Free tests and individual access

The quickest way in is a free practice test. The homepage's popular tests are all free: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Professional Data Engineer, the CCSK, the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Certified Blue Prism Professional Developer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure, Implementing an Azure Data Solution and Azure AI Fundamentals. One of them, AWS Alexa Skill Builder Specialty, is marked as retired, a reminder that vendor exams change and a learner should check the current version.

The menu links a "Pro Plans" page for individual subscriptions, marked as new, and a site-wide banner offers a coupon: "Use #TOGETHER for 30% discount at Checkout". Prices for individual plans are not shown on the homepage.

TPT for Business

The business page is where TPT spells out its model. It invites companies to "Speed up your workforce with flexible online learning and training solutions" and to use "Role-based learning paths that map skills to learner job-role."

The price is simple: $99 annually per learner, with a "Minimum Commitment 5 Learners". The FAQ puts it as "site-wide access available for $99 per user/annually with a minimum of 5 users." The plan includes annual access, unlimited practice tests, unlimited access to learning material, performance analytics and premium support. Payment is by credit card, debit card or wire transfer through PayU.

The FAQ lists the benefits as "500+ training courses and practice exams created by subject matter experts", "Hands-On Labs with real-time case studies", practice series to assess the team, "a detailed performance report", "24x7 Learning Access", "Customized learning paths" and "Single sign-on". Elsewhere on the same page the training is described as "200+ training courses created by subject matter experts". The three learning formats are a practice test ("real-time scenario based practice series"), video content ("video courses developed by subject-matter expert"), and an Exam Mode that uses "real-time case studies to get hands-on learning experience with different technologies and platforms."

Administration is light and practical. To register, the FAQ says, "You can send us a request and we will create a single sign-on account." A manager then clicks "Add a New Learner", enters names and email addresses (there is also a bulk import with a sample file), and "You add learners and assign them practice exams and courses as per your requirements." Learners get an automatic email when they are added and another when something is assigned. In "Manage Learners", the manager sees each learner "together with the course assigned and their performance", and TPT provides reports for individuals "as well as the performance of the team as a whole". A wrongly assigned exam can be removed from the learner's record.

Two FAQ answers matter for budgeting. If someone leaves the company mid-course, "You can disable/delete the user and add a learner without charges." But seats are not freely swapped otherwise: "Once a user is created, its detail will remain in the account. You can only delete the user if required or add users as per your subscription." Employees who already have a personal TPT account can be imported into the business account so their results show up with the team's.

TPT for Institutions

Colleges and institutions get a separate arrangement, aimed at those "who wish to assess their student's knowledge and awareness of technology and implementation." The FAQ prices it at "$9 per user/monthly with a minimum of 5 users and 1 practice exam/course."

Who it suits

Testprep Training suits a self-directed learner preparing for a mainstream cloud, security, networking or project management exam who wants plenty of practice questions, and who would like to try a free test first. The breadth also helps people preparing for less common exams, from Blue Prism to Indian bank entrance tests.

For a company, TPT for Business is an inexpensive way to give a small or mid-sized technical team site-wide practice material with assignment and reporting, at a published per-learner price with a five-seat minimum. Colleges can buy narrow access per student per month.

It is not a fit for anyone who wants live classes or an instructor, since everything is self-paced practice and video. Learners should also remember the site's own line: the questions are written to prepare you, not copied from the real exam.
