What Revisely is
Revisely is a revision site and AI study toolkit. It has two halves. One is a library of GCSE, AS and A-Level revision material: notes, exam questions and past papers, organized by subject, topic and exam board. The other is a set of generators that turn your own material into flashcards, quizzes, notes and video summaries. The home page addresses "students, teachers and professionals" and promises "Better resources for faster, more effective revision."
The help center explains where it came from: "Revisely began as an educational website for UK students preparing for their exams. Since then, it has transformed into a global platform," now serving both students and professionals. That history shows in the product. The library is built around the English GCSE and A-Level system, while the generators work on any material in any of more than 50 languages, so a university student or a trainer can use them as readily as a sixth former.
For this directory it belongs with test prep, because of the exam-board library, and with quiz and assessment tools, because the Quiz Maker generates, grades and exports quizzes.
The revision library
The home page describes three parts. Revision Notes are "clear, concise GCSE and A-Level revision notes, organised by subject, topic and exam board." Exam Questions let you "Practise with GCSE and A-Level exam questions, organised by subject, topic and exam board." Past Papers sit alongside them in the main menu. The pitch is topic-by-topic study: "Strengthen your understanding topic by topic, practise key skills and build confidence for every exam." The menu splits the library into GCSE, A-Level and AS sections.
The AI generators
Four tools sit under the Create menu: the Flashcard Maker, the Quiz Maker, the AI Notes Generator and the AI Video Summarizer.
Quiz Maker. The page says it "creates questions suitable for tests, exams and general practice" and can "Transform notes, textbooks, PDFs or PowerPoints into a comprehensive quiz in seconds." You upload a document, paste text, add an image (handwritten notes included) or a video, or start from scratch. The tool also edits questions and assesses answers; the home page describes AI "that understands your material and evaluates answers." Free accounts get 50 AI-assessed answers, and paid plans get unlimited.
Flashcard Maker. It generates decks from the same kinds of input. The help center shows what you can do with a deck afterward: write fill-in-the-blank cards with underscores, combine two decks into one, print them, share them by link, or export them to Anki or a text format another flashcard app can read.
AI Notes Generator. It produces notes from your material, and the paid plans list "Unlimited AI Notes" alongside "Unlimited Non-AI Notes" on the free plan, so you can also write your own.
AI Video Summarizer. It takes a link to "any publicly-viewable YouTube video" and writes a summary, with an editor and further AI tools to adjust it afterward. For videos stored elsewhere the FAQ suggests uploading them to YouTube first. The page lists lectures, training videos, webinars and business presentations among the uses, and says you can try it free with "No account required."
Supported uploads are images (.png, .jpg, .jpeg), PDFs, Word documents (.docx) and PowerPoints (.pptx), or pasted text. To work from a physical textbook you photograph the page; on a computer a QR code lets you carry on from your phone. Content can come from more than 50 languages, and generated content normally comes out in the language you provided. The video summarizer adds translation into Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Everything you generate is saved to a dashboard. Revisely uses tags rather than folders, so one quiz can sit under several topics. Decks, quizzes and notes are private by default and only reachable by people you send the link to. The help center also answers a question many teachers will have: "Generated content can be used for educational or commercial purposes."
Sharing and LMS export
The home page's "Share & Collaborate" section says you can "Send quizzes, notes, and flashcards to enhance group study sessions or share your insights with others." For teachers, quizzes can be exported to Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard from the dashboard, but the help center adds a condition: "These export formats are available on the professional and business plans." Those plans are not among the three priced on the generator pages, so a teacher who needs LMS export should ask Revisely which plan carries it.
Plans and prices
The Quiz Maker and Video Summarizer pages print the same three plans:
- Basic, $0, "No subscription required": manual flashcards and quizzes, unlimited non-AI notes, 5 chat messages a day, 5 pages per document upload, 50 AI-assessed answers and 25,000 characters per text upload.
- Annual, $4.99 per month, billed annually: unlimited flashcards, quizzes, AI notes and chat messages, 200 pages per document upload, unlimited AI-assessed answers and 150,000 characters per text upload. The video page adds unlimited AI summarized videos and unlimited AI changes.
- Monthly, $11.99 per month, billed monthly: the same allowances as Annual.
There is no free trial as such. The FAQ says: "Instead of a free trial, we let you create flashcards, quizzes and notes for free for a limited number of generations."
Billing runs through Stripe by debit or credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or Onelink. Customers in the Eurozone are billed in euros, in the United Kingdom in pounds, and elsewhere in US dollars. There is no contract: you can cancel at any time and are not charged again. The help center says Revisely does not usually offer discounts or coupons. If you switch from monthly to annual within a week of subscribing, it refunds the monthly payment.
Refunds differ by product. Revisely Pro, described as the A-Level revision plan, carries a 14-day money-back guarantee for customers in the United Kingdom. Subscriptions to the flashcard, quiz and notes generators "are generally non-refundable", with refunds at the company's discretion when a paid feature does not work as it should.
Schools and organizations
Group buying is handled by quote: "If your school or organization will require thirty users or more, please get in touch to find out more information and get a quote." Support goes through the help center and a contact form.
Who it suits
Revisely suits a GCSE or A-Level student who wants exam-board-organized notes and questions in one place and a fast way to turn class notes into flashcards and practice quizzes. The free Basic plan is enough to try every generator, and the annual plan suits someone with exams months away. University students and professionals can use the generators on their own material in their own language, and the video summarizer helps anyone working through recorded lectures or training videos. Teachers get quick quiz generation and link sharing, with Moodle, Canvas and Blackboard export on the higher plans.
It is not a tutoring service, and it has no live teaching. The exam library covers the GCSE, AS and A-Level system, so a learner sitting other qualifications will use the generators but not the library.
