What PMTraining is

PMTraining is an exam prep company for project management certifications, built around the PMP. It sells live virtual classes, on-demand courses, browser-based practice exam simulators, printed and Kindle question books, and PDU courses for keeping a credential current. It is a product for the LEARNER: a working project manager who has to pass a PMI exam, and, through vouchers and private classes, the employer paying for it. The site describes the company as a Premier Authorized Training Partner (ATP) of the Project Management Institute, and its Who We Are page says it has offered certification prep "since 2004".

The certifications covered are wide for a PMP-focused shop. The home page and menus list the PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PgMP, PfMP and PMI-PBA, plus ITIL Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist and SAFe POPM, with CISSP and IT security listed among its certifications in the footer.

Live virtual classes

Live classes are the center of the offer. The site runs live online classes for the PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP and PfMP, CSM ScrumMaster, SAFe Agilist and SAFe POPM. The class feature list reads: live, instructor-led certification training, a PMI ATP approved curriculum, official PMI authorized courseware, an interactive online classroom, and support from enrollment to exam day. Every live class carries what the site calls a "100% money back guarantee". The home page says PMTraining "was recently named the #1 PMP Live Online Class of 2026" and gives the same wording for its PMI-ACP class, without naming who did the ranking.

A reviewer quoted on the voucher page points out a practical detail: the system lets you reschedule your class up until the class begins.

On-demand courses and PDUs

For self-paced study the on-demand catalog holds a PMP Foundation Course, a CAPM Certification Course, a PgMP Certification Course, a PMI-PBA Certification Course, and an ITIL Foundation course sold together with the exam. The home page says on-demand courses come with "24/7 access included".

PMP Renewal Courses (PDUs) cover the continuing education side. A PMP holder has to keep earning professional development units after passing, and these courses are sold for exactly that, which is why PMTraining also belongs among continuing education providers.

Practice exam simulators

The practice exams are where the pages are most specific. The PMP simulator is advertised with 1,200+ PMBOK 8 questions for the July 2026 PMP exam, aligned with the 2026 Exam Content Outline, and 20+ full-length mock exams. Every question has a detailed explanation that references the PMBOK Guide and the Agile Practice Guide. You can sit timed full exams, build custom quizzes by domain and knowledge area, mark questions for review, strike out answers with a right click, save a test and resume later, and switch on a training mode that explains each question as soon as you answer. Results are broken down by knowledge area and domain, and registered users get performance tracking over time.

The CAPM simulator follows the same pattern with 1,000+ realistic questions built on the latest CAPM Exam Content Outline, full-length mock exams, knowledge area quizzes and PMBOK Guide references for every explanation. Testimonials on that page include "I passed the CAPM on my first attempt and scored Above Target in 3 of the 4 domains."

Both simulators come with 90 days of unlimited access, run in the browser, and carry a narrow refund term: "If you have not accessed the practice exams, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase." The menu also lists practice exams for the PMI-ACP, PgMP, PMI-PBA and ITIL.

Books

The Our Books page sells question books on Amazon in Kindle and paperback. The PMP book offers "over 1,100 realistic practice questions", the PgMP book over 800 questions aligned with the PgMP Examination Content Outline, the PMI-ACP book 1000+ questions, the PMI-PBA book over 1,000 questions, and the ITIL book 700+ ITIL 4 Foundation questions. The page also lists the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. The Who We Are page adds that the books are printed on demand and that the exam products are offered through its websites and via mobile apps, with nothing to download or install.

Team training and vouchers

For companies there are three routes: private team classes delivered to your team, live class vouchers, and a partner licensing program for organizations that want to license and brand the courseware. The voucher page is detailed. You buy at least 2 seats at the company's lowest per-seat price, the codes arrive by email immediately after payment, and each employee redeems a code for any public live class within 12 months of purchase. Vouchers are fully transferable within your team. The order form lists PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP, PfMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist and SAFe POPM live class vouchers, shows a seat price of CHF 875 marked "Save 30%", and offers a custom PDF quote for internal approval. Prices switch between CHF, EUR, GBP and USD. The page also says "every voucher is backed by our money back guarantee".

Scale and track record

The site gives several student counts on different pages, so read them as approximate. The home page says "195,370 students trust PMTraining", the books page shows 195,771 on the same Trustpilot banner and also "200,000+ Professionals Trained" with a "4.8/5 Avg. Student Rating", and the practice exam pages say "over 185,000" students. The Who We Are page says the platform serves more than 200 organizations including 105,000+ students. The voucher page says 94% of students recommend PMTraining, and the home page links a podcast on how Atkins Global uses PMTraining.

The Who We Are page explains the company's approach: courseware goes through an internal quality process it calls the "Courseware Development Process" (CDP), and every team member must earn a certification using the courseware the company develops.

Who it suits

PMTraining suits a PMP candidate who wants a live class with an instructor and a money-back guarantee, plus a large question bank to practice on before exam day. The home page says most students take 2 to 12 weeks to prepare. It also fits a manager who needs to put several people through PMP or SAFe training without fixing one cohort date, because transferable vouchers valid for 12 months handle that. PMP holders who need PDUs for renewal can stay with the same provider.

The caveats: the home page sends you to a separate schedule and pricing page for individual class fees, and the practice exam refund window is short and closes once you open the exams. Learners who only want a free question bank will not find one here.
