Nearpeer is a Pakistani online learning platform built around exam preparation. Its courses prepare students for the MDCAT medical college admission test and university entry tests (the home page names LUMS, NUST, LSE and GIKI), the CSS and PMS civil service exams, chartered accountancy (CA) and ACCA papers, the ISSB and armed forces tests, FSc and Matric board exams, O and A Levels, and IELTS. The site calls itself "Pakistan's largest online learning platform", its head office is in Lahore, and the About page says the company started in 2016 with the aim of making education affordable "throughout Pakistan and the Middle East". It is for a learner preparing for a specific, high-stakes exam, usually a school leaver, a university applicant, a civil service candidate or an accountancy student.
What a learner gets
Courses by exam. The home page lists each program with its own course and enrollment count: CSS and PMS with 104 courses and 959,360 enrollments, MDCAT with 24 courses and 606,981 enrollments, FSc and Matric with 101 courses and 547,731 enrollments, CA with 55 courses and 231,873 enrollments, entry tests with 20 courses and 64,591 enrollments, O and A Levels with 19 courses, SBI with 19 courses, ACCA with 3 courses and IELTS with 1. Across the platform, the home page counts 531+ courses published, 3,005,321 course enrollments, 20M+ minutes of content served and 431,339+ active students.
What a course contains. Each course is built from five parts the home page names: video lectures by the instructors, quizzes, live sessions for real-time interaction with instructors, assignments, and concise notes. A sample course page shows the structure. "Solve MDCAT Numericals without Calculator", by the Nearpeer Entry Test Department, costs Rs. 4000 and has 10 videos and 2 quizzes split into five modules, each also sold separately at Rs. 1000, with videos of 12 to 20 minutes. It promises "Access till Exam Day", past-paper practice, and an instructor, Sir Mansoor, who the page says has taught MDCAT physics for more than 10 years and answers questions in the classroom group. The page counts 21,572 enrollments.
Batches and bundles. Most exam prep is sold as named batches, bundles of several courses with access until exam day and a listed discount. Examples on the ACCA page include MDCAT Yaqeen 2026, 9 courses at PKR 65000 instead of PKR 134998; MDCAT Bunyaad Batch 2026, 9 courses at PKR 70000; a Self Paced Batch 2026 of 11 courses at PKR 15000; the PU-M Crash Test Session, 13 courses at PKR 10000; a Medical Cadet Test bundle of 2 courses at PKR 8000; a CSS Crash Courses Bundle of 6 courses at PKR 9000; an ISSB bundle of 11 courses at PKR 25000; and FBISE board exam batches. Student testimonials mention MDCAT "Improver Session", "Crash Test Session" and province-specific mock series, and a blog post on the home page advertises an MDCAT mock series of 15 province-wise tests, 5 of them free.
ACCA and CA. The ACCA page lists four AFD Level papers (Business and Technology, FA1, MA1 and MA2) at Rs. 20000 each and three Skills Level papers (Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance, Financial Management) at Rs. 24500 each, each with a named instructor, plus a 4-course ACCA AFD bundle at PKR 45000. On the CA side, the list of top-selling courses includes CFAP 03 Sustainability by Sir Atif Abidi at Rs. 6000, and several featured students say they earned merit certificates in CAF Company Law, Business Law and Tax Practice after studying his courses.
AI tools. The FAQ says "Nearpeer has incorporated AI at its core" and names four tools: the MDCAT Score Predictor, an AI Chat BOT, AI Assignments and AI Quizzes. Two MDCAT students quoted on the home page credit the AI Bot for instant clarification and the Score Predictor for tracking their progress.
Apps and offline study. Nearpeer runs on the web and on Android and iOS apps. The FAQ explains that videos can be downloaded inside the apps by tapping the download icon on any module or video, after which they appear in the "Download Section" of the app for study without a connection.
Nearpeer Shop. A shop section lists 2,000+ books.
Prices, payment and claims
The FAQ says individual courses are "priced anywhere between 2000 Rs to maximum of 15000 RS", with access until the exam date and every relevant resource included in the course price, though the live batches and some ACCA papers listed on the site cost more than that. Scholarships and discounts are offered to "deserving students", with details from the company's counselors, and a free counseling session is offered on the course pages. Payment is accepted through Easypassia and Jazzcash (as the site spells them), debit and credit cards and direct bank transfer, and the FAQ adds that the company offers buy-now-pay-later to students.
On outcomes, the FAQ makes strong claims in the company's voice: "If you follow Nearpeer's recommended study plan, your success is guaranteed," and "We have seen students improving their scores by whopping 60% only when they followed our recommended plan." These are marketing statements, not an audited pass rate. The About page timeline says the MDCAT program gathered more than 12,000 enrollments in its first year and, by the company's own account, became the top online preparation program in the medical entry test market, that Nearpeer placed second of 200+ startups at Momentum 2017 in Karachi, was incubated at Plan9, and raised a pre-seed round of $500,000.
Nearpeer for institutions
A separate For Business page offers the platform to academies and education providers that want to host their own courses. The Basic plan costs PKR 199 per student per month or a 15% revenue share and includes video hosting, an instructor panel, quizzes, payment gateways, analytics, student discussion and offline video storage. The Professional plan, at PKR 299 per user per month or a 50% to 70% revenue share, adds production consultancy, studio access in Lahore, marketing and selling of the content, and CRM integration. The Premium plan, at PKR 1499 per user per month, adds access to Nearpeer's ready-made programs, custom dashboards and content. Prices can be negotiated by number of students. Testimonials on that page come from CA-NOTES, the Akhuwat Foundation and Ali Trust.
Who it suits and who it does not
Nearpeer suits a Pakistani student preparing for MDCAT, a university entry test, the CSS exam, board exams or CA and ACCA papers who wants recorded lectures, quizzes and mock tests on a phone, with live sessions and an instructor group for questions. Learners in smaller cities, which several testimonials mention, get the same material as students in Lahore or Karachi. Budget matters: single courses are cheap, while the full live batches run to tens of thousands of rupees, so the scholarship and pay-later options are worth raising with a counselor. Pakistani academies that want to move their teaching online can use the business plans.
It does not suit learners outside Pakistan's exam system, since almost every program targets a Pakistani exam, board or professional body, with ACCA and IELTS the exceptions.
