Master of Project Academy is an online training school for project managers. Its core product is exam preparation for Project Management Institute credentials (PMP, CAPM and PMI-ACP), sold as self-paced courses with monthly, annual or lifetime access, and as live virtual classes. Around that core sits a wider catalog of Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, IT service management, cybersecurity, Microsoft Project, Excel and Power BI courses, plus bundles that renew existing certifications. The About page says the company is headquartered in Washington, DC, and has helped over 300,000 professionals in 180+ countries; the home page counts 500,000+ enrollments. The learner here is a working professional who needs a credential, the training hours to apply for it, or the PDUs to keep it.
What a learner gets
PMP preparation. The flagship course is "PMP® Certification Training - 35 Contact Hours". Completing it earns the 35 contact hours of project management education that PMI requires before you can apply to sit the exam, and the page shows a sample "35 Hours Certificate". The course page lists 300+ lectures, over 750 practice questions with rationales sorted by exam domain, a full sample PMP exam, 20 real-world situational project cases, cheat sheets and flash cards, an online moderated peer forum, and step-by-step guidance on submitting the PMP application. The company says every lecture is mapped to the PMP Exam Content Outline in effect since July 9, 2026 and to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, including the topics added to that exam such as AI in project management and value delivery. Section by section, the curriculum mixes short video lectures, interactive case studies, worked practice questions and an end-of-section quiz.
Live classes. The PMP Online Class runs over 4 days for 35 contact hours, taught live by instructors the course listing calls "Seasoned Instructors". The course FAQ says weekday sessions start every Monday and end on Thursday, and weekend sessions start biweekly on Saturdays. Plans that bundle the self-paced course with the live class let you revisit lectures after it ends. CAPM gets its own live format, a 3-day, 23-contact-hour virtual class. The FAQ also says the company offers in-person PMP classroom training in various locations, quoted on request, and the catalog lists one-on-one PMP coaching sessions for questions about the application, knowledge areas and study tactics.
CAPM and PMI-ACP. CAPM Certification Training covers 23 contact hours for early-career project staff. A four-course CAPM bundle claims 55+ contact hours, 320+ lectures, 1750+ CAPM questions, sample exams and cheat sheets. PMI-ACP training covers the Agile Certified Practitioner credential.
Practice tools sold separately. The catalog lists a PMP Exam Simulator with 9 realistic exams and 1600+ questions, a PMP flash card set of 1,500+ cards, a CAPM simulator with 1350+ questions, and a pack of 50 downloadable project management templates.
Agile, Scrum and other certifications. Self-paced courses prepare learners for the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) exams, Leading SAFe (the Certified SAFe Agilist exam, taught by what the listing calls SPC instructors), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, IT Service Management Foundation, CISSP and ethical hacking. A cyber security bundle groups six courses and 57+ hours.
Renewal credits. Holders of a PMP must earn 60 PDUs every three years. Several self-paced bundles are sold for exactly that, each listed as worth 60 PMI PDUs: a general PMP renewal bundle, a Data and Analytics pack and an Agile pack. A separate bundle covers the 40 Scrum SEUs that Scrum Alliance renewal requires, and a free bundle earns 4 PDU hours. The Microsoft Project course says a PMP holder earns 9 PDUs from it.
Business and software skills. For the business side of the catalog, Microsoft Project training runs 9+ hours and 69+ lectures on Project 2021, with an advanced 8-hour follow-up, quizzes at the end of sections, downloadable exercise files and a course completion certificate. Excel courses run from an 8-hour foundation course with 100+ lectures to a 9-hour advanced course, with a separate Excel course for business analysts and one on data analytics in Excel. Two Power BI courses, an introduction to analytics and AI, a project manager mock interview and a course on becoming a "System Project Manager" round out the list. The catalog page counts 54 products in total.
Free courses. Free introductory courses cover PMP, CAPM (one hour), PMI-ACP, Six Sigma (30 minutes), Microsoft Project and Scrum Master. They explain the exam and give study materials, which lets a learner see the teaching style before paying.
Teams. A Corporate section and a PM Core course aimed at organizations sit alongside the individual catalog. The PMP course page says in-person, virtual and hybrid group formats are available and that group and corporate pricing comes through a quote request.
Prices and terms on the pages
Prices are listed in US dollars per course, with three ways to pay. The self-paced PMP course costs $99 per month, or $547 for one year of access. The live PMP class starts from $1,079, with Standard and Pro plans that add access to the self-paced course. Microsoft Project training costs $57 per month, $177 for one year or $277 for lifetime access with all future updates. The home page lists CAPM training at $89/mo, PMI-ACP training at $89/mo, the 6-course PMP bundle at $117/mo, the PMP renewal bundle at $247/mo, the 9-course Project Management Training Bundle at $137/mo and the PM Master+ All Courses Bundle, 28+ self-paced courses with new ones added at no extra cost, at $239.99/mo. Monthly plans auto-bill on the same day each month and can be canceled anytime; the pricing box notes that "The faster you complete the course, the less you pay".
The refund terms are stated two ways. The home page and footer advertise a "7 Day Money Back Guarantee", and the course FAQ says all courses come with a full 7-day guarantee, then adds that you can email info@masterofproject.com "within 30 days of enrollment" for a full refund, and the pricing boxes on both course pages show a "30 Day Money Back Guarantee". The company says its overall refund rate is less than 1% from 300,000+ students.
The pass rate claim is precise about its scope: the home page says students have a 99.6% first attempt pass rate in the certification exams, and a footnote says the figure is for 390,204 students enrolled and is updated weekly. The PMP course page adds that it is "qualified for Continuing Education Credit by AAPM". The home page calls the company the "#1 Project Management Training Provider" and footnotes that it was awarded #1 PM Training Online provider by Project-Management.com. It also says it is an Accredited Business by the Better Business Bureau, a consumer business rating rather than an academic accreditation, and that more than 40% of new visitors arrive through a colleague or friend referral.
Support is by email. The course pages promise 24/7 assistance from the support team and instructor answers within 24 hours. The site does not publish prices for corporate group training; those are quoted.
Who it suits and who it does not
The strongest fit is a working professional preparing for the PMP who wants the 35 contact hours and the exam practice from one source, at their own pace. The monthly plan rewards someone who can study hard for a few weeks; the annual plan suits a slower pace. Someone who wants structure and a fixed schedule can take the 4-day live class instead, or combine it with the self-paced course. PMP holders approaching their renewal deadline are a second natural audience, since the 60 PDU bundles exist for that purpose. Early-career staff aiming at the CAPM, and Agile practitioners after PMI-ACP, PSM, PSPO or SAFe, are covered too.
For a team, the corporate route is a quote rather than a price list, so a training manager budgeting for a group should expect to request one. Learners who want a broad catalog outside project management will find it thin: the Excel, Power BI and analytics courses support a project manager's toolkit rather than form a general skills library. And anyone who needs a credential issued by the training provider itself should note that the company prepares learners for exams run by PMI and other certifying bodies; the course completion certificate documents training hours, and the credential still comes from the exam body.
