JobTestPrep is an online test preparation service for job candidates who face an aptitude, personality or skills test as part of a hiring process. Its product is the PrepPack, an online practice course built around one specific assessment, such as the SHL tests, the Hogan personality inventories, the Watson Glaser critical thinking test, the CCAT, the USPS 474-477 exams or the FDNY written exam. It is a learner product, used by individuals in the days or weeks before a test, with a smaller side business that supplies the same material to recruiters. The About page says JobTestPrep is a division of Noam Institute Ltd, founded in 1992 by the psychologist David Meshulam, and the home page calls it "The first and biggest prep company in the world".

What a PrepPack contains

A PrepPack is matched to one test or test provider and combines full test simulations, topic-by-topic practice tests, written and video guides, and an answer explanation for every question. The company says it builds them by speaking with past test-takers and sitting each exam itself, and it describes its material as "true-to-original" simulations of the real assessment.

The product pages spell out what specific packs hold. The UK Sova Assessment PrepPack lists 30+ cognitive aptitude practice tests across checking, numerical, verbal and logical reasoning, 30+ personality and situational judgment practice tests including a full Sova personality test guide and simulation, and dedicated video tutorials and a study guide. The FDNY written test pack includes 3 full training tests simulating the real assessment, 13 practice tests on verbal problem solving, practice on information ordering, personality test practice, and video and PDF guides. The ASVAB pack, which the PiCAT page also points to, starts with an introduction simulation that builds a personalized practice plan and then covers each AFQT section with guides.

The free pages give a good sense of the teaching style. The PiCAT page works through sample questions in each section, from mathematical knowledge and arithmetic reasoning to mechanical comprehension, electronics information and assembling objects, with a worked solution after each. The Hogan pages explain what the personality scales measure and why consistent answers matter, and the FDNY page explains how a resilience question is scored alongside other questions on the same trait.

What the catalog covers

The menus show how wide the catalog runs. On the employer side there are packs for the big test publishers, among them SHL (including SHL Verify G+ and SHL OPQ32), Korn Ferry/Talent Q, Aon/Cut-e, Cubiks, Hogan, Predictive Index, Caliper, Pymetrics, Wonderlic, Mercer Mettl, Indeed Assessments, Raven's Progressive Matrices, McKinsey Problem Solving, ACT WorkKeys and the CliftonStrengths and DDI leadership assessments. A public-safety section covers the FBI Special Agent test, police recruitment and psychological exams, the NYPD exam, 911 dispatcher tests including CritiCall, correctional officer tests, the TSA CBT, the U.S. Secret Service and the Air Traffic Skills Assessment. Civil service and trade tests include the USPS 955 and 474 exams, the ASVAB and PiCAT, firefighter written exams, the IBEW aptitude test, the EIAT elevator test, Ramsay mechanical tests and the Microsoft Office assessment. Employer-specific packs cover Amazon's assessments and hiring simulation, Procter & Gamble, Walmart maintenance and USA Hire.

The UK site adds tests that matter to British and European applicants, including the Sova assessment, the Watson Glaser, Saville aptitude tests, the BKSB test, Arctic Shores, UBS assessments and the Emirates cabin crew test. The About page puts the total at 220+ courses and says the team has written more than 100,000 practice questions, each with a solution. Free sample tests are available for many of these assessments before a learner buys anything.

Beyond test practice

Two AI tools sit alongside the PrepPacks. The About page says the AI CV Analyzer reviews a CV and helps refine it for both human recruiters and AI screening tools, and the AI Interview Prep Tool uses a chat interface to put tough interview questions to the learner for practice. The home page carries a testimonial from a user, Sarah T., who credits the CV analyzer with turning a run of unanswered applications into interview calls. The group behind JobTestPrep also runs TestPrep-Online, a separate site for educational and placement assessments aimed at parents and children, and the About page mentions an AI recruitment system launched in late 2024 and a job search platform.

Prices, membership and guarantees

Single PrepPacks are priced per test. On the UK site, the Sova Assessment PrepPack is offered "for only £39" and the Hogan PrepPack "For just £39". A Premium Membership lets a learner choose any 3 PrepPacks from "over 100 top-rated options" with flexible access for 1, 3 or 6 months, promoted at "50% OFF for a limited time". A membership review on the UK site describes taking the 6-month option to keep several packs open across a longer job search. Every page carries a "Money Back Guarantee" badge, and the About page says customer support is available 24/7 for technical or study questions.

For recruiters

Recruiters can partner with JobTestPrep. The US partner page offers recruiters online access to the testing system so their candidates can prepare, coupon codes that give those candidates a discount on a PrepPack, and an affiliate program that pays a commission when a candidate buys through the recruiter's link. The UK version lists bulk discounts, coupon code reductions, original content guides and articles, and affiliate earnings, and says the company has worked with EMEA recruitment consultancies for over 5 years. The partner page states JobTestPrep has "helped over 500,000 people prepare for their psychometric testing", while the home page speaks of over 1,000,000 candidates.

The company and its track record

The About page sets out the timeline: Noam Institute in 1992, JobTestPrep.co.uk in 2006 for British job seekers, JobTestPrep.com in 2011 for the American and Canadian markets, and from 2012 sites in Arabic, Danish, German, Norwegian, Swedish and Spanish. The footer links country sites for the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The home page says the content team numbers more than 100 experts in fields from psychology and test development to software development, and names specialists such as a VP Product with a background in behavioral and social psychology and a product manager qualified in Hogan personality tests. Testimonials on the home page come from learners who prepared for the CCAT, SHL, ATSA, USPS 955 and the Amazon Work Simulation, several of whom say the practice closely matched the real test.

Who it suits

JobTestPrep suits anyone who has just received an invitation to an employment test and wants to know exactly what it will look like: a graduate facing SHL or Watson Glaser at an assessment center, an applicant to a police force, fire department or air traffic control, a candidate for a USPS or Amazon role, or someone enlisting through the ASVAB. A single PrepPack covers one test in depth, and the Premium Membership fits a longer job search with several employers and several test formats. Recruiters who send candidates into psychometric tests can use the partner discounts and affiliate scheme.

It is self-study practice, not tutoring: there is no live instructor, so the learner has to work through the simulations and guides on their own schedule. For most test-takers that is exactly the point, since the value lies in seeing the real format before test day.
