E2Language

Tap a star to rate

E2Language is an online course provider for people preparing for an English proficiency exam: IELTS, PTE, OET or CELPIP. It sells self-study courses combined with private tutorials, teacher-marked mock tests and live group classes, and it also runs general English and pronunciation courses for learners who are not yet at exam level. The home page counter says the company has "prepared over 2,722,270 students and counting!"

The offer is aimed at individual learners rather than schools or companies. A learner picks an exam, starts a free trial, and moves to a paid package if the course works for them. The home page puts the trial terms plainly: "14 days free on any course. No credit card. Choose your exam to start."

The exams and courses

The course list is organized by exam and by version of each exam, so a learner studies material for the exact test they are booked into:

  • IELTS: IELTS General and IELTS Academic.
  • PTE: PTE Academic and PTE Core.
  • OET: separate courses for OET Nurses, OET Doctors and OET Pharmacy, so healthcare professionals practice with material for their own profession.
  • CELPIP: CELPIP General and CELPIP General LS.
  • English: Elementary English, Intermediate English and Advanced English, plus a Pronunciation course.

The general English levels are useful for a learner who starts a trial, finds the exam material too hard, and needs to build up first without changing providers. A free IELTS Full Mock Test is linked from the footer as well.

What a course includes

The home page breaks every exam course into four parts.

Personalized learning. Each package includes "45-minute private lessons" with "personal attention with an expert teacher." A learner chooses "1, 2 or 3 tutorials per package," can buy more, and picks the time, topic and skills each session covers. For a candidate who keeps losing marks on one section, that means spending the whole hour on speaking or writing rather than on a general lesson.

Practice exams and assessments. Mock Tests and Mini Mock Tests are "marked by expert teachers," the questions are "designed by ex-examiners," and learners "receive detailed feedback in 48 hours." The tests can be completed in the learner's own time. This is the part that matters most for the writing and speaking sections, where a learner cannot mark their own answer against a key.

Self-study platform. The platform holds "100s of practice questions and sample answers," method lessons that teach technique for each task type, grammar and vocabulary work, and a study pathway for planning what to cover and when.

Interactive classes. Live classes with expert teachers run in multiple time zones, so a learner can "join when it suits you," ask questions live, and watch the recording later if a session falls at a bad hour. The live format complements the private tutorials: the classes cover shared questions in a group, while the one-on-one hours go to an individual learner's weak spots.

The score calculator and ebooks

Before signing up, anyone can use the free English Score Calculator, which the site says gives "an indicative CEFR or English exam band score" and shows strengths and weaknesses by skill. The calculator is offered as a separate free tool, so it can be used without starting the trial. It is a reasonable first step for a learner who does not yet know how far they are from their target band.

E2Language also sells exam ebooks. The site describes them as "expertly crafted e-books" with "authentic practice materials, essential grammar rules, and proven revision strategies." The home page banner advertises 80% off all ebooks.

Trial, packages and pricing

The 14-day free trial covers any course and needs no credit card. Paid plans are sold as packages through a "View Packages" link, and the home page itself shows no package prices. Tutorials are counted per package, from one to three, with extra tutorials available to buy.

What students say

The home page carries testimonials from learners in Brazil, India, Nigeria, the Philippines and Singapore. A PTE student from India reports: "I cracked it the first time... Speaking was 90/90, Writing 80/90, Reading 88/90 and Listening 89/90. I prepared with E2Language for nearly 5 weeks before my test," adding that "the tutorial helped me with my confidence." An IELTS student named Lovepreet writes of "failing 7 times and finally getting the score after your tutorial."

Several reviews read as advice to future students. A learner from Nigeria calls it "very high quality content for a ridiculously low price" and warns: "Don't only focus on the live classes. The study materials and practice questions are high yield." An IELTS student from the Philippines recommends that learners "use the materials on your account, attend live classes and participate in the activities, and follow their structure in the writing and speaking part." An OET student from Singapore advises sticking to OET criteria and following "the quality letters that have been given in E2 Test Prep," pointing to model letters in the OET writing material.

Other details

The site is available in English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai and Simplified Chinese. The footer links to a support page, a partnerships page, promotions, and a "Teach with us" page for teachers who want to join the tutoring team. The blog covers topics such as test anxiety, mock tests, online study habits and English test requirements for healthcare professionals in the US.

Who it suits

E2Language suits a candidate with a fixed test date and a target score who wants expert eyes on their writing and speaking. The 48-hour marking turnaround and the choice of tutorial topic make it practical for someone who has already sat the test once and knows which section held them back, and the testimonials lean heavily toward exactly that kind of repeat taker.

Nurses, doctors and pharmacists heading for OET get profession-specific courses rather than a generic one. Learners in awkward time zones benefit from live classes offered at several times plus recordings. The general English levels give weaker learners a route to build up before switching to exam material, all inside one account.

The main point to weigh is that the private tutorials are capped per package, from one to three, so a learner who wants weekly one-on-one coaching will need to buy extra sessions. The free trial and score calculator let a learner judge the material before paying anything.
