Crushendo is an online bar exam prep course for law graduates sitting the Uniform Bar Exam, built around audio outlines, audio flashcards and memory aids rather than long video lectures. Its pricing page sums the offer up as "Audio outlines and audio flashcards. Hundreds of proprietary mnemonics. 1750+ official NCBE practice questions. Lifetime access."

Beyond the bar exam, the site sells MPRE review, an LLM bar prep course, law school outlines for 1L and upper-level finals, paralegal exam prep (Paralegal CP), and one-on-one tutoring. The contact address on the site is in California, Missouri. The home page states that Corporate Vision gave Crushendo its Best Bar Exam Prep Course award in 2024.

How the course teaches

The method is built for people who study away from a desk. The home page says nearly half of the bar exam program is built for learners who study by listening, so they can "hit the gym, walk their dogs, clean their house" while studying, and adds that visual and mastery learners get visual aids and written materials. The material is cut into what the site calls "digestible, repeatable chunks," with audio outlines, written outlines described as "picture-packed," audio and visual flashcards, and audio and written attack outlines. Audio outlines can be downloaded, and several reviewers mention listening through the app while commuting, driving for work or running.

Memory aids are the core of the product. The site advertises "hundreds of picture-packed, proprietary mnemonics," and one review quoted on the home page says the course works because "it's showering you in every memory trick (mnemonics, loci, funny) ever discovered in the last two thousand years." A longer Google review describes the MPRE materials as combining loci, mnemonics, spaced repetition, audio and written outlines, and quizzes that can be taken repeatedly, with a bar graph showing which concepts the NCBE tests most often. Another reviewer notes the team keeps "adding new features (like pneumonic-free attack outlines)."

Practice comes from official questions. The site promises "1750+ official NCBE-licensed practice questions" across the MBE, MEE and MPT, and one reviewer singles out "the access to past MEE and MPT exams with explanatory answers" as the highlight of the program.

Courses and prices

The bar exam pricing page lists these products:

  • Legacy UBE Suite, the complete bar exam prep course: $690
  • LLM Bar Exam Prep Course (Legacy UBE): $730
  • Legacy UBE Outlines, Flashcards, Mnemonics: $330
  • MBE Suite, the complete MBE prep course: $590
  • MBE Outlines, Flashcards, Mnemonics: $310
  • Real MBE Practice Questions: $350
  • Real MEE Practice Questions: $70
  • Real MPT Practice Questions: $90

The home page separately advertises a UBE Suite at $970 and itemizes what it includes: 1350+ real MBE questions, 300+ real essays with point sheets, 100+ real performance tests with point sheets, 700+ audio chunks, 250+ proprietary mnemonics, written outlines, flashcards, attack outlines, downloadable audio, immediate lifetime access and lifetime support. The site presents it as a complete Uniform Bar Exam prep solution. For law students, outlines, flashcards and mnemonics are sold at $49 per subject.

The modular pricing means a candidate already enrolled in another course can buy only the piece they need, such as the MEE questions, and several reviewers describe using Crushendo exactly that way.

Access and guarantees

Access starts immediately and does not expire. The site says to "crush finals throughout law school (if you buy early), slay bar exam prep, and reboot your memory of black letter law anytime after." One reviewer puts it plainly: "This service lasts for a lifetime, which is great if you ever want to take another bar."

The home page lists "twice the guarantees": a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a pass guarantee under which, if you buy the full UBE course, complete the tasks in the study plan leading up to exam day and fail the UBE, Crushendo will "refund your purchase if you no longer want access." The site has a separate Guarantees page and an FAQ.

Tutoring

Tutoring is its own product line. Reviews describe weekly one-on-one sessions in which a tutor reviewed the MPTs, MEEs and MBEs a candidate completed the week before, built a daily study schedule around a full-time job, and set new exercises for speed and issue spotting. Reviewers name tutors Adam and Kyra, and one describes an hour-long session over Google Meet working out why earlier attempts had failed. A California candidate reports passing on a second attempt after 10 private tutoring sessions.

What reviewers report

The home page carries a Trustindex rating of 5.0 out of 5 based on 97 reviews, drawn from Google and Facebook. The recurring themes are fitting study around work, retaining rules through mnemonics, and the price. A prosecutor who had not sat a bar exam in 26 years writes: "I worked through the outlines and practice tests in evenings and weekend for approximately 3 months and I CRUSHED the bar the 1st try in New Hampshire." Another reviewer, retaking after more than 20 years, says "Crushendo got me up to speed." A reviewer who took the Texas bar reports having "scored above the 90th percentile." One review speaks to neurodiverse learners directly: "A lot of smart people have ADHD or are neurodiverse. This is the course for you! I don't get as distracted and it helps me remember because its like a game."

Law students use it for finals. One writes, "I used the property course during my 1L year (got an A), and have just started the Evidence course to prepare for my 2L finals," and adds that the material "definitely sticks."

Not every review is unqualified. One reviewer calls the outlines "meager at best" and says Crushendo told them its substantive materials "are meant to be supplements," while praising the volume of real MPT, MEE and MBE questions.

Who it suits

Crushendo suits bar candidates who work full time and need to study in the car, at the gym or around family, and candidates who remember rules better through mnemonics and audio than through long lectures. Repeat takers are a large part of its reviews, and the tutoring line is aimed squarely at them, especially those who struggled with the essay or performance test sections. Law students can start with $49 subject outlines for finals and keep the same material for the bar, since access is lifetime.

The main caveat comes from its own reviewers: candidates who want deep substantive outlines may pair Crushendo's questions and memory tools with a fuller outline source. The 30-day money-back guarantee lowers the risk of finding out.
