What It Is
SMEnode Academy is an online IT certification school that teaches through live, instructor-led classes rather than recorded video. In its own words it "delivers live, instructor-led IT certification training for networking, security, cloud, and DevOps professionals." It says it specializes in Cisco CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure, Fortinet NSE and DevOps, with "real lab environments and instructors who work in the field." The reader is an IT professional or career changer who wants a vendor certification and prefers a scheduled class with an instructor and hands-on labs. The contact block on the home page gives an address in North York, Canada, and support hours of Monday to Friday, 9AM to 8PM EST.
The Catalog
The course menu is organized by level and technology. The expert level covers CCIE Enterprise, CCIE Security, CCIE Data Center and CCIE Automation. The entry level covers CCNA, CCNA Automation and Network+. There are separate groups for software-defined networking (SDN, Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco SD-Access), virtualization (VMware NSX, VCF Administrator, VVF Administrator, Proxmox VE), cloud platforms (AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect), and security operations (Splunk Enterprise, Wazuh XDR, Fortinet NSE4). Career programs are named for roles: network engineer, system engineer, DevOps engineer, security engineer and automation engineer, and an AI and AIOps group offers AIOps for networks.
For readers in the coding category, the DevOps Engineering Bootcamp is the most relevant program. It is a 16-week professional-level track covering CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins and GitOps. A 12-week Linux and Scripting Fundamentals track, covering Linux administration, bash scripting, Python basics and Git, is listed as coming soon. The blog leans the same way, with posts such as a set of 120 Ansible interview questions with answers.
Learning Paths and Exam Prep
The site lays out structured paths from associate to expert level for Cisco Enterprise, Cisco Security, Cisco Data Center, AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud, Fortinet Security and DevOps. In the Cisco paths, CCNA runs 12 weeks, the CCNP tracks 16 weeks and the CCIE tracks 24 weeks; several CCNP tracks are marked coming soon. On the cloud side, AWS Cloud Practitioner and Azure Administrator are 12-week associate tracks, while AWS Solutions Architect Professional and Azure Solutions Architect Expert are 16-week professional tracks. Fortinet NSE 4 runs 16 weeks, and NSE 7 is a 24-week expert track still marked coming soon.
Individual course pages name the exams they prepare for. The CCIE Data Center program targets the DCCOR 350-601 written exam and the 8-hour CCIE lab. The cloud courses map to AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02), AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03), AZ-104 and AZ-305, and the VMware courses to VCP-NV 2024, VCP-VCF Administrator and VCP-VVF Administrator. Lesson counts are listed per course: 44 lessons for Azure Solutions Architect, 47 for Azure Administrator, 32 for AWS Cloud Practitioner, 49 for AWS Solutions Architect, 21 for CCIE Data Center, 25 for Cisco SD-Access, 32 for VMware NSX, 46 for VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator, 50 for VMware vSphere Foundation Administrator and 34 for Proxmox VE.
How the Training Works
Classes are live, with "CCIE and cloud certified instructors", and learners ask questions, practice labs and get feedback in real time. The site caps each cohort: "Maximum 15 students per cohort ensures personalized attention and dedicated instructor time." For labs it promises "real Cisco equipment, AWS/Azure cloud environments, and Fortinet appliances", stressing that these are not simulators but "actual production gear for hands-on network training", with scenarios drawn from enterprise network designs, cloud migrations and security implementations.
Lab access does not end with the course. The FAQ answers the question of how long access lasts with one word, "Lifetime", and the feature list says learners can "Access all labs, topologies, and scenarios forever with no additional fees. Included in every online course." Classes run in weekend and evening batches, and learners can switch between them once per program with a week's notice. Prerequisites vary: the FAQ says CCNA requires no prior experience, CCNP needs CCNA-level knowledge, CCIE needs a solid CCNP background, and AWS and Azure courses work best with basic IT experience, with foundation modules for beginners.
Every student, the FAQ says, "gets resume reviews, interview prep, and introductions to hiring partners." The site also advertises a free demo class, an upcoming batches page, a "talk to advisor" option, corporate training and a partner program.
Prices and the Guarantee
Prices are printed on the site. On the course cards, CCIE Data Center costs $1,259, VMware NSX, VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator and VMware vSphere Foundation Administrator cost $959 each, Cisco SD-Access $600 and Proxmox VE $300. In the cloud category, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect and Azure Administrator are $659 each and AWS Cloud Practitioner is $359.
A banner offers 50% off all courses as a limited-time deal, and a three-tier price table shows the program bundles, each price labeled "Monthly":
- Associate Level (CCNA Certification Training): regular $1,499, offered at $749, with 12 weeks of live instruction, real Cisco lab access, practice exams, lifetime lab access, study materials and career support.
- Professional Level (CCNP, AWS Professional or Azure Expert): regular $2,990, offered at $1,495, with 16 weeks of live instruction, equipment and cloud labs, "Exam dumps & practice tests", lifetime lab and course access, one-on-one mentorship sessions and job placement assistance.

Asked about its pass rate, the FAQ answers with the guarantee instead: "We stand behind our training with a money-back pass guarantee." Payment plans are offered for all programs, and the FAQ says to contact admissions for details on splitting a payment.
Track Record
The home page features three programs with student counts and ratings: CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure with 342 students, AWS Solutions Architect Pro with 1,576 and the DevOps Engineering Bootcamp with 2,234, each rated 4.9. A counter shows 5000 certified professionals. Under an "Official Training Partner" heading the page shows Cisco, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Fortinet, VMware and CompTIA. Individual course cards, by contrast, still show zero ratings and zero students.
Who It Suits
SMEnode Academy fits network, security and cloud engineers who want a vendor certification and learn best in a live class with a small group and real equipment. CCIE candidates get long tracks, a dedicated mentor at the expert tier and permanent lab access for practice after the exam. Beginners have a defined starting point in CCNA or AWS Cloud Practitioner, and engineers moving toward DevOps have a 16-week bootcamp on the standard toolchain.
It is less suited to anyone who wants to study entirely at their own pace, since the model is scheduled live batches. Learners who want general software development or data science will find the catalog centered on infrastructure, networking and cloud certifications.
