What It Is

Horizons Unlimited is an online course catalog for adult learners, built mostly around IT and software skills and exam preparation, with smaller sections in business, design, finance, health, marketing and office software. Its home page promises "500+ Online Courses" with "Flexible learning, lifetime access, and professional certificates", and it also acts as a gateway to online degree programs from two partner business schools. The site reports 7520 expert instructors, 97,220 students enrolled, 54,252 foreign followers and 20 years of experience. Courses are credited to "Horizons Faculty".

The reader is a learner buying courses for themselves: someone preparing for a vendor certification exam, picking up web development basics, or working through a bundle in one career area.

The Catalog

The category tiles on the home page show where the weight lies: IT and Software has 151 courses, Design 25, Office Productivity 23, Personal Development 15, Business 13, Development 12, Marketing 8, Health and Fitness 7, and Finance and Accounting 6.

The IT certifications page reports 140 courses and lists its focus areas with counts. Among the larger groups are SQL Server (17 courses), Windows Server (12), Cloud Computing (8), Cisco CCNA (6), Cybersecurity (6), Cisco CCNP Enterprise (5), CompTIA Cloud+ (5), Microsoft 365 (5), CompTIA CySA+ (4), Microsoft Azure (4) and Microsoft Exchange Server (4). The CompTIA list runs from ITF+ and Tech+ through A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Data+, PenTest+, CASP+ and the newer SecAI+. Security credentials include CEH, CHFI, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP and CCSK, and there are single courses for Kubernetes, DevOps, Google Cloud, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Scrum and the three Six Sigma belts. Featured courses carry their exam codes, such as CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA SecAI+, Microsoft MD-102 for Microsoft 365 endpoint administration, Oracle 12c OCP 1Z0-062, Oracle Database 11g OCA (1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052), and Microsoft 70-486 on ASP.NET MVC web applications.

For coding specifically, the Development category covers programming languages (JavaScript, Python), software engineering (Apache Kafka, software development) and web development (ASP.NET Core, CSS, HTML, web design). Course examples on the home page include Fundamentals of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), HTML5 and CSS3 Fundamentals, Javascript Essentials, HTML5 and CSS3 Web Design Fundamentals with JavaScript, Microsoft 70-480 Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, and Microsoft .NET 4.5 Programming with HTML 5. The menu also lists AI courses on AI agents, ChatGPT and generative AI. Outside IT, the business section includes exam prep for PMI's PMP (aligned with PMBOK 7) and CAPM, and the design section covers most of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications, from Photoshop and Illustrator to Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Part of the catalog targets older software releases, including Windows 7 and Windows 8, QuickBooks Premier 2014, Oracle Database 11g and Lync Server 2013, alongside current exam versions. Course cards carry an "Updated January 2026" note.

How the Courses Work

The IT certifications page describes the structure of its exam-prep courses as video instruction covering exam objectives, practice exams that mirror the real test, hands-on labs, and study guides and reference materials. It says the CompTIA A+ courses include hands-on simulations for hardware installation, operating system setup and troubleshooting; the Network+ and CCNA courses use network simulators and virtual labs in which students configure routers, switches and Cisco IOS commands; and the AWS Solutions Architect courses include "hands-on labs using actual AWS services." The same page describes the scope of individual tracks: the AWS Solutions Architect courses prepare for both the Associate and Professional credentials and cover architecture design, service selection, cost optimization and security; the Azure Administrator courses cover managing subscriptions, storage, virtual networks and identities; the CEH courses teach penetration testing and ethical hacking methods; and the Security+ curriculum, the page says, aligns with Department of Defense security requirements. It names CompTIA A+ and AWS Cloud Practitioner as entry points that "require no prerequisites."

Each course card shows its video content; the Adobe Behance course, for instance, is described as 1 hour and 35 minutes of video. The home page promises "globally recognized certificates for every course you complete" and portfolio projects, and its banner says learners can "earn certificates from Google, Microsoft, and top universities." For support, the site says learners can "Connect with mentors and support staff anytime through live chat, email, or scheduled coaching calls." A free consultation and a free demo are offered, and the header gives a phone number, (833) 33-STUDY, and an info email address.

Bundles and Prices

Prices are shown on every card. Single courses are listed at $34.50, marked down 50% from $69.00. Bundles, labeled "Full access bundle", are listed at $99.80, marked down 80% from $499.00, and each card shows a 4.8 rating from 1,200 reviews. The bundles are:

  • Cybersecurity Essentials (10 courses, 805 videos)
  • IT Infrastructure and Networking (10 courses, 702 videos)
  • Software Development and Web Programming (10 courses, 471 videos)
  • Cloud DevOps Engineer (8 courses, 597 videos)
  • IT Support and Systems Administration (725+ videos)
  • Data and Analytics (605 videos)
  • Advanced Cybersecurity and Forensics, Creative and Media Production, Business, Marketing and Productivity, and Project Management

The menu also lists access plans and an ebook section called BooksToGo.

University Programs

Separately from its own courses, Horizons Unlimited lists degree programs from two partner schools, the Swiss School of Business and Management (SSBM) Geneva and ENEB Business School in Barcelona. ENEB double master's programs, such as a Master in Project Management plus Digital Business, are listed at $1,147.00 against $3,260.00, an MBA plus Master in AI for Business at $1,084.00, and the SSBM Executive MBA at $8,000.00. For these, the site directs learners to its admissions advisors. The degrees are awarded by those schools, not by Horizons Unlimited, whose own courses lead to completion certificates.

Who It Suits

Horizons Unlimited suits self-directed learners preparing for an IT certification who want inexpensive, self-paced video courses with practice exams and labs, and who like the option of buying a whole area at once. The bundles group ten courses on networking, cybersecurity or software development under one listed price. Beginners in web development can start with the HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals courses.

Learners should check that a course matches the exam version they plan to sit, since the catalog mixes current exam codes with courses built on older releases. Anyone wanting live classes or a cohort will not find them here; the model is recorded video with support by chat, email and coaching calls. Developers looking for modern frameworks in depth will find the Development category small compared with the IT certification side.
