Digital Cloud Training is an online cloud computing training platform focused on Amazon Web Services. Its site describes it as helping "learners build real-world AWS and cloud skills through hands-on training including cloud bootcamps with real-world projects, self-paced certification courses, practice exams, and challenge labs." It was founded by Neal Davis, whom the bootcamp page lists as "Founder & AWS Instructor," "9x AWS certified" and having "Trained over 1,000,000 people." It serves learners preparing for AWS certifications, people changing careers into cloud roles, and, through separate programs, businesses training their teams.
What learners actually get
The homepage sets out five formats: live training (bootcamps), video courses, practice exams, challenge labs and AWS flashcards.
Self-paced courses and practice exams. The on-demand catalog follows the AWS certification ladder: Cloud Practitioner, AI Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, CloudOps Engineer, Data Engineer Associate, ML Engineer Associate, Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, Advanced Networking Specialty and Security Specialty. Alongside sit Intro to Cloud Computing, AWS Business Essentials, Python Programming for AWS, Kubernetes Administrator CKA, AWS Identity & Access Management and AWS Networking. Self-paced learners get "on-demand courses, practice exams, exam simulators, study plans, exam cram lessons, and downloadable training notes," plus cheat sheets organized by certification and by AWS service, and books for offline study. One learner liked the "training mode where you can 'review answers' after each question to see which answer was right and wrong." Self-paced access is sold on monthly and yearly plans.
Challenge labs. These are "scenario-based, self-paced exercises" that "run in secure sandbox environments," so learners practice "without the risk of running up unexpected cloud bills." There are AWS labs and Microsoft Azure labs.
Free resources. The FAQ says the company "offers FREE AWS certification training resources including video courses, practice questions, AWS cheat sheets, study plans, blog articles, and video tutorials," available by creating a free account. Students can also ask technical questions in a Slack community.
The Cloud Mastery Bootcamp
The flagship is a 12-month live virtual program that, in the homepage's words, offers "12-month live AWS training with 4 certifications, expert support, career guidance + job guarantee." It prepares learners for five role paths: Cloud Engineer, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, AI/ML Engineer and Cloud Security Engineer, plus a Solutions Architect Professional path. The site says that "in as little as 4-6 months (depending on your background), you'll be job-ready."
Foundations. Every path includes three foundation modules: IT Fundamentals (computing, storage, networking, databases and security, with 15 guided labs), Linux Fundamentals (command line, user and group management, permissions, shell scripting, networking and storage), and Python for the AWS Cloud, which teaches Python and the Boto3 SDK "even with no prior programming experience," with 53 guided labs.
Certification modules. Depending on the path, learners "may earn four of the following cloud certifications": AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AI Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, CloudOps Engineer Associate, Machine Learning Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Associate, Solutions Architect Professional, Security Specialty, and HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate. Each module lists its scope. The Solutions Architect Associate module has 85 guided labs, 6 skills assessments and 11 portfolio projects; the Developer Associate module has 109 labs; the AI Practitioner module covers Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock and other AWS AI services in 21 labs, 12 skills assessments and 4 portfolio projects. Across a whole path, the totals run from 236 to 387 guided labs, for example 310 labs, 35 assessments and 25 portfolio projects on the AWS Cloud Solutions Architect path.
How it is taught. The site describes "multiple live training and interactive Q&A sessions each week with expert instructors," and "All live sessions are recorded, accommodating a busy schedule." It says "Industry-experienced instructors provide practical insights and mentorship." Learners get "1-on-1 mentorship and career guidance with professional coaches & student success advisors," starting with goal-setting, a gap analysis and a customized learning path built with a customer success manager. A Live Group Collaboration Workshop places learners in a small team "over several weeks on a real-world cloud project," ending with a presentation of the solution. The instructors listed are Neal, Kent (AWS Lead Instructor, over 20 years of experience), Eric (Python Instructor) and Steven (AWS Instructor).
Career support. The Tech Career Accelerator, "Exclusive to graduates of the Cloud Mastery Bootcamp," is a 12-month program with professional career coaches, one-on-one check-ins, guest speakers, resume and LinkedIn work, mock interviews and salary negotiation.
Price, guarantee and terms
The bootcamp page states "One-time Investment: $5,790" with "Payment Plans available." That covers 12 months of access to all live sessions and the group workshop, "lifetime access to online cloud training resources," mentorship, the Tech Career Accelerator and the labs and projects. Entry is by application: learners submit a form, the company assesses whether the program fits, and accepted applicants then finalize enrollment. A 15 min call with a student success advisor is offered for questions.
The site advertises a job guarantee: "If you have not secured a role by the end of the 12-month program, we'll continue supporting your career development and job search at no additional cost until you secure a role in cloud computing, AI or a related field." The guarantee is support until hired, and it carries conditions listed on the page: complete the assigned coursework, attend the required live classes and finish the assessments and projects; earn the certifications in the path; publish at least 10 articles or project posts and update LinkedIn and resume; and follow the job search strategy. Eligibility "requires full and unrestricted permission to work in the country where you are seeking employment, without requiring employer sponsorship." The FAQ adds that "Some of our students have secured their dream job within just 3 months of starting the program," depending on pace and background.
Ratings and recognition
The homepage claims more than 1,000,000 students, "an average rating of 4.7 (out of 5) from over 180,000 reviews," and says learners "pass their AWS certification exam on the first attempt scoring over 90% on average." It reports a Global Excellence Awards title as "Best AWS Training and Certification Services Provider." Reviews praise the instructor and the practice exams; Michael wrote that he passed "the CSAA exam with 92%," and a bootcamp graduate, Ledell, said "The live labs were my favorite part of the bootcamp."
Who it suits
The self-paced courses and practice exams suit anyone working toward an AWS certification on their own schedule and budget, from a first Cloud Practitioner exam to the Professional and Specialty levels. The challenge labs suit learners who want hands-on AWS practice without risking a surprise bill.
The bootcamp suits career changers and IT professionals who want structure, live instruction, team projects and career coaching, and who can commit a year. The FAQ says it is "designed for all skill levels, including beginners with no IT background." The job guarantee depends on meeting its conditions and on having the right to work where the learner is job hunting, so it is worth reading in full before applying.
