DevOpsSchool

DevOpsSchool is a training company that teaches cloud, DevOps and AI operations through live, instructor-led certification programs. Its homepage headline is "Master Cloud, DevOps & AI with certification-grade training," and it describes its catalog as "instructor-led, hands-on, and built for production," browsable "by technology, platform or engineering practice." It serves two kinds of customer: individual engineers who want a certification track, and companies that want to train platform, cloud and security teams. The company also runs a consulting practice and publishes a large blog with tutorials and a forum.

What learners actually get

Certification tracks. The homepage features six programs under "Popular Certifications," each described in a line:

  • DevOps Certified Professional (DCP), "The flagship DevOps program," covering CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers and GitOps, "from first commit to production."
  • DevSecOps Certified Professional (DSOCP): "Security-first delivery," with shift-left pipelines, supply-chain security "and compliance in every release."
  • SRE Certified Professional (SRECP): SLOs, error budgets, incident response and reliability engineering for production systems.
  • MLOps Certified Professional (MLOCP): operationalizing machine learning through training pipelines, model serving, monitoring "and MLOps at production scale."
  • AIOps Certified Professional (AIOCP): "AI-driven operations," covering anomaly detection, event correlation and "self-healing intelligent systems."
  • DataOps Certified Professional (DOCP): "Build trusted data pipelines," with orchestration, quality, governance "and DataOps at enterprise scale."

The site says there are 40+ certification tracks in all, so these six are the most prominent rather than the whole list. Training spans "100+ industry-standard tools."

How the teaching works. Under "Why DevOpsSchool," the site sets out six points:

  • Live instructor-led: every batch "is taught live by working practitioners," and sessions are "interactive, never pre-recorded lecture dumps."
  • Hands-on cloud labs: "Practice on real AWS, Azure and GCP environments with guided, production-style lab exercises."
  • Real-time projects: "Build end-to-end pipelines and deploy real workloads you can showcase to employers."
  • Lifetime access: "Recordings, notes and material stay yours for life," plus "free batch repeats whenever you need a refresh."
  • Recognized certification: "Industry-aligned certifications mapped to real job roles and trusted by hiring teams worldwide."
  • 24/7 mentor support: "Dedicated mentors and an active community that keep you unblocked long after the class ends."

The certificates are DevOpsSchool's own program certifications (DCP, DSOCP and so on). The site describes them as industry-aligned and mapped to job roles; it names no outside body that issues or accredits them.

The learning platform. Courses run on what the site calls the "DevOpsSchool · Learning Platform." Its homepage preview of a live class shows the pieces a learner works through in one place: the instructor-led session itself, labs and projects, and a certificate at the end. Recordings and notes from each batch stay available afterwards, which is what the lifetime access promise refers to.

Three ways to take a course. Under "Learn the way that fits your team":

  • Self-paced: "Recorded masterclasses, labs and lifetime access," so learners study "on your own schedule, at your own pace."
  • Live online cohorts, marked "Most popular": "Instructor-led weekday & weekend batches with live Q&A, peer cohorts and mentor reviews."
  • Corporate & onsite: "Custom curricula delivered to your engineering org," either onsite or live-online.

Batches are scheduled, and the homepage shows seat availability on each featured track: "Only 4 seats left" on DCP, "Filling fast · 6 left" on DSOCP, "Closes in 48 hrs" on SRECP, "Almost full" on MLOCP, "High demand · few seats" on AIOCP and "Last batch this month" on DOCP. Each card has an "Enroll now" button, so a learner books into a specific batch.

Training for companies

The enterprise section is headed "Train your engineering org, end to end." DevOpsSchool says it works "from skills assessment to certification" with "platform, cloud and security teams to deliver measurable upskilling," onsite or live-online. It lists three things a company gets:

  • role-based learning paths and custom curricula
  • hands-on labs on real cloud environments
  • certification tracking and progress dashboards

A sample dashboard on the homepage shows how that tracking looks: a cohort of 120 engineers across 14 teams with 89 certified, progress bars for Kubernetes (CKA) at 92%, AWS Solutions Architect at 78% and DevSecOps (DSOCP) at 64%, and a "+38% this quarter" cohort progress figure. The bars are shown as cohort progress, not as exam pass rates. Companies start with "Book a consultation."

Consulting

Under "Beyond training," the site describes a consulting practice run "by the same experts who train you," which "helps organizations design, build and operate modern delivery platforms," covering everything from toolchain strategy to hands-on implementation and long-term enablement. It covers four areas: DevOps and DevSecOps (CI/CD, GitOps and security-first delivery transformation), cloud and platform engineering (migration, landing zones and internal developer platforms), SRE and observability (SLOs, incident response and reliability at scale), and toolchain and automation (tool setup, integration and end-to-end pipeline automation). For a company, this means one vendor can both build a delivery platform and train the engineers who will run it.

Figures the site publishes

The homepage gives four headline numbers: 50k+ professionals trained, 40+ certification tracks, 500+ live batches a year, and a 4.8/5 average learner rating. The site publishes no course prices on the homepage; individuals enroll into a batch, and companies book a consultation. Contact runs through an email address and a phone line marked for calls and WhatsApp from India, and the site's blog sections are titled Top Certifications, Tutorials, Forum and Professional.

Who it suits

DevOpsSchool suits working engineers who want structured, instructor-led preparation in a specific operations discipline: a developer moving into DevOps with DCP, a security engineer taking DSOCP, an operations engineer heading for SRE, or a data or ML engineer looking at MLOps, AIOps or DataOps. The live cohorts with weekday and weekend batches fit people studying alongside a job, and lifetime access with free batch repeats means a learner can sit a module again later. The cloud labs on AWS, Azure and GCP give practice on the platforms most teams actually use.

It also suits engineering managers who want one partner for a team: custom curricula, progress dashboards and certification tracking, with consulting available when the training is part of a wider platform project. Learners who want to study only on their own time can take the self-paced masterclasses instead. Anyone who wants a credential issued by a cloud vendor or a standards body should note that the DevOpsSchool certifications are the school's own.
