Coding Blocks

Coding Blocks is a coding education company that teaches programming courses in three formats: classroom programs, live interactive programs and online guided learning. Its site title calls it "India's Leading Programming Institute," and the footer names the company as Coding Blocks Private Limited. The courses are built around getting students through technical interviews and campus placement drives, with data structures and algorithms (DSA) at the center, and they serve college students, school students preparing for Class XII board exams, and working professionals early in their careers.

What learners actually get

Subjects. The homepage groups courses into Data Structures & Algorithms, Competitive Programming, Interview Preparation, Web Development, Android Development, Data Science & ML, and Micro courses, plus short Bootcamps. It explains why DSA comes first: these are "the building blocks of programming & required to write optimised code," they are "necessary to start development level programs like Web development and Android app development," and they are "the skills that are typically tested when students appear for Placement drives for Jobs and Internships." The DSA courses are "designed for absolute beginners" and are offered in C++, Java and Python, each with "350+ problems & 6 projects."

The catalog after that goes well beyond basics:

  • Competitive Programming: segment trees, Fenwick trees, dynamic programming, bitmasking, greedy algorithms and number theory, aimed at contests such as Google Codejam, Facebook Hackercup and ACM-ICPC.
  • Interview Preparation: Master Interview prep with C++ (900+ questions) and with Java (700+), Master Preparation for FAANG (150+ questions), and a course on non-coding subjects (OS, DBMS, computer networks and system design). These target pre-final and final year students and professionals with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Web Development: a MERN full stack course with 10+ projects and detailed React coverage, front end and back end courses, Web Development with Python-Django, System Design with 10+ case studies, and DevOps with 10+ live interactive projects.
  • Android: Kotlin, covering UI design, Firebase, push notifications, hardware sensors, networking and databases, with 5 projects using libraries such as Google Maps and REST APIs.
  • Data Science and ML: a data science and machine learning course with 12 projects, a machine learning course with 9 ML projects covering deep learning, computer vision, NLP and reinforcement learning, and Python for Data Science with 4 projects.
  • Micro courses: a Dynamic Programming must-do problem set, a Dynamic Programming course with 100+ challenges, Graph Algorithms, Java Collections Framework, C++ Standard Template Library, Selenium with Python, and courses for Class XII board practicals in Java and C++.

Formats. The site says "one model of teaching is not fit for all" and offers three:

  • Classroom programs, which it calls "extremely successful and result oriented because of strong Peer group, personal attention and round the clock availability of mentors." Listed features include limited batch size, individual attention, continuous feedback and monitoring, dedicated doubt and placement support, and "In-class Hackathons & Assignment sessions."
  • Live interactive programs, "a replica of the Classroom programs" without the mentor's physical presence, for students "who want to learn from a popular mentor of choice" from elsewhere.
  • Online guided learning, run on the company's e-learning portal and made "HYBRID," meaning "we have added Live classes of topics where we feel students need interaction with mentors." Students "can clear their doubts through Video calls or Chats with our mentors and TAs," and those living near a center "can even visit our Physical centers and meet the mentors in person." Dedicated doubt and placement support are optional in this format.

Mentors. Course cards name the instructors: Kartik Mathur and Prateek Narang for the C++ DSA course, Rishab Kapoor and Garima Chhikara for Java DSA, Arnav Gupta for full stack and Android (with Pulkit Aggarwal on Android), and Prateek Narang with Manu S Pillai for machine learning.

Lite and Premium, with prices

Online courses come in Lite and Premium versions. Every card lists online lecture hours, "Personal mentoring, progress tracking & Feedback," topic based assignments, a "Certificate of Completion/Excellence" and a 6 Months Duration. Premium adds two lines that Lite lacks: "Priority Doubt Support" and "Placement assistance." New batches are listed as starting 1 Sep'26 and 1 Oct'26.

Fees are in rupees, and each fee appears beside a larger figure. Examples from the online courses page:

  • Master Data Structures & Algorithms Using C++, 200+ hours: Lite ₹1,500 (shown beside 9999), Premium ₹2,250 (beside 14999)
  • Master Data Structures & Algorithms Using Java, 225+ hours: Lite ₹1,200 (beside 7999), Premium ₹2,250
  • Algo++, advanced DSA in C++, 170+ hours: Lite ₹1,350, Premium ₹2,100 (beside 13999)
  • Ace the Placements (Java), 225+ hours: Lite ₹1,650 (beside 10999), Premium ₹1,950 (beside 12999)
  • Full Stack Web Development with NodeJS Master Course (MERN), 95+ hours: Lite ₹1,200, Premium ₹2,700 (beside 17999)
  • Android App Development Master Course, 40+ hours: Lite ₹1,050 (beside 6999), Premium ₹2,700
  • Machine Learning Master Course, 73+ hours: Lite ₹1,800 (beside 11999)

  • Python Fundamentals, 12+ hours, Lite only: ₹225

Certificates, recognition and reviews

Every course lists a Certificate of Completion/Excellence. The online courses page says learners "earn industry-recognized certifications to advance your career"; the certificates themselves are Coding Blocks' own course certificates. The homepage shows review scores of 4.8 and 4.7 and lists press items including "Times Education Icons'25: Coding Blocks - Excellence in the field of Training for Placement Oriented Courses for IT Industry," the FE Futech Summit & Awards 2025, and a "Top 50 Organisatons in Education award - 2019."

Alumni stories on the homepage come from engineers at SDE-1 level. Bhawana praised the "Teaching methodology, assignments, hackathons, doubt resolution," saying "We were pushed to explore our limits." Iti Jain, who joined "to get a decent placement after Btech," says "the more time I spent coding, talking to mentors, and discussing stuff with peers, the more I got hooked on coding," and went on to Morgan Stanley and then Twitter. Vishesh wrote: "Guidance is the most important aspect in success of an individual."

Around the courses, the site offers a free counseling session with a learning consultant, a Scholarship Test, career advice, a placement bootcamp, and resources including Hacker Blocks, Hiring Blocks, an online IDE, blogs and podcasts. Colleges can request a workshop or a chapter on campus.

Who it suits

Coding Blocks suits Indian college students preparing for internships and placement drives, especially in their first and second year, when the DSA courses are pitched at them. Learners who want a mentor they can reach, whether in a classroom, in a live batch or over video call, get more of that here than on a pure video platform. The rupee pricing makes the Lite courses an inexpensive way in, and Premium is the tier to choose if placement assistance and priority doubt support matter.

It suits less well a learner who wants to start at any moment and finish in a weekend: courses run in dated batches over a stated six months. Learners outside India can take the online courses, though the classroom option and the in-person doubt sessions depend on being near a center.
