What Ascendient Learning is

Ascendient Learning is an IT training company for individual professionals, enterprise teams and government buyers. Its site describes it as "the coming together of three highly respected brands; Accelebrate, ExitCertified, and Web Age Solutions", formed into one company focused on "outcomes-based technical training". The footer lists an office at One California Street, Suite 2900, San Francisco, plus a second postal address at 220 Yonge Street. The core of the product is a large catalog of instructor-led courses: the home page says that "With the largest portfolio in the industry and more than 700 instructor-led IT courses that are guaranteed to run", learners can book a class knowing it will take place. Alongside that sit what the site calls "Vendor-authorized training from top brands such as Microsoft, IBM, AWS, and Google, as well as hundreds of courses developed by our specialists."

The catalog

The catalog is organized two ways. By topic, the site lists predictive AI and machine learning, AI and agentic AI, data visualization, data science, databases, agile and DevOps, cloud, security, programming, ERP and CRM, automation, networking, microservices and virtualization. By vendor, the brand menu names Microsoft, AWS, IBM, NVIDIA, VMware, Databricks, Google Cloud, Veeam, Nutanix, Red Hat, Ping Identity, SAP, Tableau and Oracle, and the certification menu adds Snowflake, Confluent, Mirantis and the Linux Foundation.

The course listings show how technical the material gets. For AWS there is AWS Technical Essentials, Architecting on AWS and Security Engineering on AWS. VMware has a five-day vSphere 8 install, configure and manage course, a five-day NSX course and a four-day vSAN course. IBM courses include Cognos Analytics report authoring at fundamentals and advanced levels, InfoSphere DataStage Essentials for ETL developers, QRadar SIEM Foundations, Storage Scale administration for Linux and AIX, and an introduction to Engineering Requirements Management DOORS. On the Microsoft side, recent titles cover Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Microsoft 365 and AI administration, an introduction to AI in Azure, and security controls for cloud and AI workloads.

For programming and platform engineering, the catalog carries Docker Containerization Essentials, Kubernetes Application Essentials (CN120), Day-1 Kubernetes operations (CN220) and a five-day Cloud Native Operations Bootcamp (CN251). Linux administrators can follow the Red Hat track from System Administration I (RH124) and II (RH134), the two parts of RHCSA training, to Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (AU294). Enterprise application teams will find SAP S/4HANA production planning, warehouse management and financial accounting courses, a course on SAP's Generative AI Hub, and three Oracle Cloud Infrastructure hands-on workshops from Foundations to Architect Professional. Nutanix and Veeam courses round it out, including exam prep for Nutanix Certified Professional, Multicloud Infrastructure and Veeam Certified Engineer exam vouchers.

Google Cloud as an example track

The Google Cloud page shows how a vendor track is structured. Ascendient says it offers Google Cloud-authorized training on both the infrastructure and the data engineering side. Fundamentals classes introduce the core services, role-based classes then specialize in Compute Engine or Google Kubernetes Engine, and a Data Engineering class covers storage options, big data processing and machine learning on Google Cloud. The page states that "All courses include hand-on labs in Google's own Qwiklabs environment". A Certification Roadmap maps courses to Google's credentials: Cloud Digital Leader and Generative AI Leader at the foundational level; Associate Cloud Engineer, Associate Data Practitioner and Associate Google Workspace Administrator at associate level; and professional certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, Cloud Developer, Cloud Security Engineer, Cloud DevOps Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer. Recommended courses on the page include Writing Effective Prompts for Generative AI and Gemini Enterprise Essentials.

Formats and how you take a course

The site lists three ways to train: "in-person courses at an Ascendient Learning training facility or your own site, self-paced online courses, or live virtual classes with our exclusive Live Virtual training." Live Virtual is the company's own online classroom platform, described as a way to join scheduled instructor-led sessions remotely. The menu also points to a schedule of locations, a "Guaranteed to Run" course list, and CloudCentrix as a delivery format. Instructors are described as "certified experts with real-world experience who bring practical insight to every session, online or in the classroom."

Purchasing runs through a shopping cart and a "Get Quote" button. The pages shown publish no course prices, so cost comes through the cart or a quote. The menu does point to several ways to pay or save: training credits and vouchers, a Benefits/Savings section, subscriptions, and access to AWS Skill Builder and SAP Learning Hub. The SAP Learning Hub entry promises expert-led live sessions and hands-on practice systems. A "Free Training" section appears among the resources.

For teams and organizations

For employers, Ascendient frames its offer as upskilling and reskilling. The site says it "tailors training to your company's objectives and customizes training materials to build on your employees' current knowledge", and it lists the benefits it sees for companies: developing new skills, increasing employee satisfaction and productivity, hiring from within, and retaining employees. Separate menu entries cover enterprise training, government training and individual training. A featured case study describes an "Integrated GenAI, Project Management, & Data Analytics Bootcamp for Leading Consulting Firm", which shows the company building combined programs for a single client rather than only selling seats in public classes.

The resource library includes a blog, webinars, guides, tutorials, case studies, white papers, ebooks and reports, videos, infographics, data sheets and learning paths. The home page advertised webinars on AI-powered software development and on what is new in Ping Identity training. Contact runs through a contact form and the info@ascendientlearning.com address.

Who it suits

Ascendient Learning suits IT professionals who want vendor-authorized classes on the enterprise platforms they already run, such as VMware, Red Hat, IBM, SAP, Nutanix, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, and who prefer a live instructor and hands-on labs to a video library. The guaranteed-to-run list helps anyone who has had a public class canceled at short notice. It fits corporate IT and L&D teams well, since the company customizes programs, trains on site and lists dedicated enterprise and government options. Learners who are new to programming and want a beginner coding path will find the catalog pitched at working administrators, engineers and developers, and buyers who want a public price list should expect to work through the cart or a quote.
