What Alura is
Alura is a Brazilian online technology school that sells a subscription to its whole course library, taught in Portuguese. Its plans page calls it "a maior escola de tecnologia do país" (the largest technology school in the country), and its company pages describe "O maior ecossistema de ensino tech do Brasil" (the largest tech education ecosystem in Brazil). The footer lists it as a company of Grupo Alun, alongside FIAP, StartSe, PM3 and Lumina.
The home page FAQ says Alura is for people who work in technology or are moving into it, and for "quem percebeu que o mercado mudou" (those who have noticed that the market has changed) and want to know exactly what to learn now. The home page reports more than 6 million students ("+6 milhões") who have advanced their tech careers, more than 2,236 courses kept up to date, and more than 9 thousand companies that have trained their teams with it.
Alura serves two readers in this directory: individual learners who want a structured route into programming, data or AI, and companies that want a training library and reporting for their staff.
The catalog and career tracks
The plans page lists 2,314 courses ("2.314 Cursos") and 35 careers ("35 Carreiras"). Content covers programming, front-end, back-end, DevOps, mobile, data science, UX and design, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud, and management and innovation. A footer catalog breaks these down further, for example generative AI and prompt engineering, automation and productivity, and AI for product and business.
The organizing idea is the career track, not the single course. Alura describes its careers as "Jornadas guiadas do básico ao avançado com checkpoints práticos" (guided journeys from basic to advanced with practical checkpoints), split into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. The home page promises learners will "estude com cronograma pronto, construa projetos reais e avance com feedbacks de quem já está no mercado" (study on a ready-made schedule, build real projects and progress with feedback from people already working in the field).
The FAQ suggests starting points: the Front-End career for web beginners, Back-End for those who like logic, APIs and systems, Data Science for data, and AI Native Software Engineering or the AI Engineering career for those interested in how AI is changing software development. The AI-Native Software Engineering track is shown as 11 courses from basic to advanced, with an Alura certificate.
Example courses on the plans page range from "Pensamento computacional: fundamentos da computação e lógica de programação" (computational thinking and programming logic) and JavaScript for beginners to React with TypeScript, Linux, Figma, Model Context Protocol (MCP), prompt engineering, and Claude for data analysis. A mobile catalog page lists Flutter, Android and iOS courses with their hours. Each course page shows its instructor, student count and average rating; the API design course, for example, is taught by Vinicius Dias.
Most study is on demand, through video lessons, activities and projects. Alongside it, Skills & Go offers live courses ("aulas ao vivo") on AI for tech leads, product managers and early adopters, and the plans include Imersões, described as real portfolio projects in 5 lessons.
Individual plans
There are three individual plans, sold for 1 or 2 years, with the 2-year option labeled "Melhor desconto" (best discount).
Plus 24. "Todos os cursos, trilhas e certificados para evoluir" (all the courses, tracks and certificates to progress). It includes access to all courses for 2 years, a certificate for each course, group mentoring with specialists, MarTech Lab (more than 150 courses of technology applied to marketing), an exclusive community with events and networking, the Imersões, the Android and iOS app, Luri Chat, and 20% off FIAP's Pós Tech postgraduate program.
Pro 24. Everything in Plus, plus Luri Vision, which lets learners send images with their questions; Modo Entrevista, an interview mode for practicing "com situações reais e feedbacks personalizados" (with real situations and personalized feedback); access to the Casa do Código book collection; and Alura Língua, which the plans page describes as "cursos de inglês e espanhol com foco na área tech" (English and Spanish courses focused on tech).
Ultra Lab 24. Everything in Pro, with unlimited Luri Vision, 2 one-to-one career mentoring sessions with Talent Lab mentors, CareerUp live events on employability, and Talent Lab itself, which offers networking and exclusive job openings. The plans page says that "+50% dos participantes conseguiu uma vaga após mentorias do Talent Lab" (more than 50% of participants landed a job after Talent Lab mentoring). It also describes Luri as an AI "treinada com o conteúdo de todos os cursos, disponível 24h por dia" (trained on the content of all courses, available 24 hours a day).
Plan prices load dynamically on the plans page. During a September 2026 promotion, the home page advertised 2 years of study for 12 installments of R$ 170, down from 12 installments of R$ 244.
Payment is by credit card in up to 12 interest-free installments, Pix or boleto, with PayPal also accepted; Nubank customers can split payments into up to 24 installments or use NuPay, and paying in full by Pix gives an extra 5% discount. Every plan carries "7 dias para cancelar com reembolso" (7 days to cancel with a refund). The FAQ adds a reminder that "aprender tem fricção, exige trabalho e dedicação" (learning has friction; it takes work and dedication).
Plans for companies
Alura Para Empresas has three published plans, priced per person per month:
- Corp, R$125 per person per month: access to the full catalog, personalized study plans for employees, teams and the whole company, engagement and activity data, Luri for learners, the online and offline app, and Performance Lab for developing teams on real challenges.

A custom plan is quoted on request. The comparison table says the catalog includes more than 2,314 courses, 300 programs and 5 thousand lessons, and that study plans can mix Alura content with external content through links and embedded videos. The page invites companies to join "mais de 9000 empresas" (more than 9,000 companies) that have trained their teams with Alura. Alongside the platform, Alura + FIAP Para Empresas offers custom programs, MBA and Pós-Tech options, and inclusion programs.
Free content and support
Free content includes technical articles, news, podcasts and Alura Labs, which the site describes as analysis and reflections from specialists on technology, AI and careers. The help center answers common questions, and learners can reach the team by email or WhatsApp.
Who it suits
Alura suits Portuguese-speaking learners who want one subscription covering programming, data, AI and design, with career tracks that tell them what to study next. A beginner can start with programming logic and a front-end track; a working developer can use the AI and cloud courses to keep up. Learners preparing for job interviews get the most from Pro 24 or Ultra Lab 24, with interview practice, mentoring and job openings. Companies get transparent per-person pricing, reporting and LMS integrations, with the larger plans adding assessments and custom content.
The catalog is in Portuguese, so it is a narrower fit for learners who do not read the language, and the most career-focused features sit in the higher-priced plans.
