What ACI Learning is

ACI Learning is an IT, cybersecurity and audit training company that sells its myACI platform to three groups: businesses training their technical staff, colleges and universities that want hands-on labs in their IT programs, and individuals building a tech career. Its About page sums up the approach as "Learning That's About Outcomes, Not Hours" and says the company measures success by "certifications earned, skills mastered, and career milestones achieved" rather than seat time. It describes itself as a remote-first company.

The product has two parts that work together: expert-led video courses aligned to industry certifications, and Skill Labs, which are browser-based practice environments built on real virtual machines. The site also lists audit courses, skill assessments, a learning marketplace and a separate bootcamp brand, ACI Learning Tech Academy, which has its own entry.

The training catalog

The business page groups the catalog into five areas, each tied to the certifications a team is likely to need:

  • Cybersecurity: preparation for Security+, CISSP and CEH and for SOC roles, aimed at analysts and security teams.
  • AI and machine learning: AI literacy, prompting, automation and AI-assisted workflows, and preparation for CompTIA SecAI+.
  • Network technology: Cisco CCNA and CompTIA Network+, with routing, switching, wireless and infrastructure skills.
  • IT fundamentals: CompTIA A+ and Network+ for help desk and entry-level teams, covering hardware, operating systems and support workflows.
  • Cloud: AWS and Azure certification paths, with administration, deployment, monitoring and security.

The newest additions are AI courses. The business page lists CompTIA SecAI+ (CY0-001), AI Essentials and Prompting for AI in Cybersecurity Engineering as available in ITPro, and the academic page lists AI Skill Lab sets for CompTIA SecAI+, Foundational and Applied AI, and AI Vibe Coding in the Development Lifecycle, with an agentic AI lab set marked as coming soon.

The Why ACI page describes the video side as "Concise, engaging content from industry professionals," with "short, engaging videos, hands-on labs, and real-world instruction" as the company's answer to what sets it apart.

Skill Labs

Skill Labs are the center of the offer. The academic page says students "work in genuine environments - Wireshark, Linux, Metasploit, and more," on real virtual machines rather than simulations, and the business page adds guided simulations and cloud environments to the mix. Labs run in the browser with no downloads, launch in seconds, can be reset and retried, and run in isolated environments. The site reports more than 1,000 Skill Labs across IT, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, systems and infrastructure, and "14M+" lab sessions completed.

Labs are mapped to certification exams: "Mapped to CompTIA, Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, and more, so students prep for jobs and certifications at once." A company blog guide on teaching Linux administration shows what that means in practice: the Linux lab catalog supports the CompTIA Linux+ XK0-006 domains of system management, security, services, scripting and troubleshooting, with auto-scoring and an instructor dashboard.

For businesses

ACI Learning for Business is sold as two training bundles:

  • ITPro, starting at $700 per seat, for teams at every skill level. It includes the 1,000+ Skill Labs, including the new AI courses and labs, and certification-aligned training across CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, Linux and more.
  • HelpDeskPro, starting at $500 per seat, for help desk, service desk, Tier-1 support and early-career IT teams. It covers troubleshooting, user support, ticket resolution and customer communication, with CompTIA A+ and Network+ training and the Skill Labs inside those courses. ACI launched it in January 2026.

The FAQ explains how plans are priced: "Flexible team plans start at $1,000/year for two learners," priced by the bundle and the number of learners, "with volume discounts available as your team grows." AI Skill Labs and Marketplace content are optional add-ons at checkout. The business page also advertises a 25% discount on ITPro and AI courses for Cybersecurity Awareness Month, ending October 31.

Every team plan includes video courses, Skill Labs, practice tests, assessments, SSO and progress tracking. Managers can "Assign learning paths, track course completion, monitor certification readiness, and export progress reports to show leadership what training delivered."

A team can try the platform first: the business page offers a "Full feature 10-day trial," with "No credit card required" and access to the top courses.

The business page claims "80%" course completion against a 20% industry average, says more than 2,000 businesses use ACI, including Fortune 500 companies, and shows a 4.7 out of 5 learner rating.

For colleges and universities

The academic offer is Skill Labs for Students, aimed at 2-year, 4-year and CTE programs. The academic page reports more than 500,000 learners served and lists what each group gets:

  • Faculty: "Zero-prep, browser-based, auto-graded labs," real VMs, and "Full integration with your campus LMS, with reporting built in."
  • Administrators and deans: a cert-aligned curriculum and data that supports accreditation reviews, workforce funding and program improvement.
  • CTE and workforce leaders: a catalog updated to follow workforce demand and pricing the page says "fits Perkins funding and CTE program constraints."
  • Students: practice in real environments that builds a resume and interview stories.

Two features stand out. A program can "Send your course objectives" and receive a matching or custom lab set "at no additional cost." And labs can connect to the campus LMS for grade passback through LTI, or run as standalone access, with "zero infrastructure for your IT team either way." The page also describes "AI-proof challenges" meant to reduce reliance on AI shortcuts.

Faculty testimonials on the page come from instructors at Neumann University, Indian Hills Community College, City University of Seattle and Ferris State University. For one cybersecurity professor, the page notes, labs make up about 40% of the final course grade. The page also mentions a partnership with OMREN to bring Skill Labs to universities in Oman.

Trust and recognition

The Why ACI page says "ACI Learning is officially ISO/IEC 27701 certified" and explains that this means the company has been "independently audited and verified for how we handle personally identifiable information (PII)." It also says ACI was named a G2 High Performer. The myACI platform won "Career Development Solution of the Year" in the 2026 EdTech Breakthrough Awards, which the company says is its third consecutive recognition for career development innovation.

Who it suits

ACI Learning suits IT and security managers who need a team certification-ready and want proof of progress, with published per-seat starting prices and a free trial to test it. HelpDeskPro gives a support team a focused, lower-priced option, while ITPro covers a mixed department. For colleges, community colleges and CTE programs, Skill Labs remove the cost of building and maintaining lab infrastructure, and the free custom lab sets fit labs to an existing syllabus.

It is narrower than a general business LMS: the catalog is IT, cybersecurity, cloud, AI and audit, so a company that also needs soft-skills or compliance training would add another provider. It is also not a platform for building and selling courses of one's own.
