Tap a star to rate
Sudoksho is an online course platform from Bangladesh that sells recorded courses one at a time, in Bengali and English, for learners building job and workplace skills. Its page title bills it as the leading eLearning platform in Bangladesh, and the address on every page is Ranks Business Centre on Pragati Sarani in Dhaka. The copyright line names Enroute International Limited. The About page says the platform started "with a noble purpose of creating, enhancing and sharing quality knowledge, education and skill enhancing training", with the aim of making knowledge available to the mass of people through modern technology. Its reader is a Bangladeshi student, job seeker or working professional, with a strong showing of bank and financial staff who need compliance training, and the About page also describes services for employers who want to train their own staff.
The catalog
The course menu has six categories, written in Bengali on the site: Banking and Finance, Skill Development, Education and Development Sector, Professional Development, Online Earning and Freelancing, and Language Learning. The homepage also sorts courses by goal: job preparation, students, freelancing specialization and professional development.
Banking and Finance is the most developed area. It includes Islamic Banking Theory and Practices, Basics of AML & CFT, an AML & CFT course for banks and financial institutions, and AML & CFT for non-banking financial institutions. AML & CFT stands for anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism. The bank course carries the largest counts shown on any course card in the catalog.
Skill Development mixes career and practical topics: SQL for Data Science, Negotiating Job Offer, Introduction to Resume Writing, Import From China and Start Your Own Business, and Arabic Calligraphy & Painting. Professional Development has Fundamental Workplace Etiquettes and Data Analysis-Management & Reporting with Pivot Tables, and the homepage features Microsoft Excel (from Beginner to Advanced). Online Earning and Freelancing offers Social Media Marketing for Beginners. Language Learning offers Learn & Master Sign Language. Education and Development Sector has SDGs for Youth: My Goal, My Responsibility, a free course on the Sustainable Development Goals. The homepage previews lessons such as English letters in sign language, purchase orders, an Excel masterclass and creating relationships between tables.
How the courses work
According to the About page, courses are written and taught by leading researchers, industry specialists, subject matter experts and academics from the country's best institutions, specifically for Sudoksho, and the design follows "global standards in Bangladeshi context". Courses are offered in both English and Bengali "to satisfy needs of different set of learners".
The homepage lists what a learner gets: recorded video lessons to study from anywhere in the country, slides and lecture sheets with every video lecture, quizzes and online assessments at the end of each lecture to check progress, a certificate on completion that the site says will help in getting a job, and mentors with 24-hour customer care support through Sudoksho's official page. It also advertises live online sessions where learners join instructors and ask questions. The FAQ, by contrast, answers the question about live classes by saying the courses are pre-recorded and can be taken at any time, on any device, over the internet. Learners can study on a desktop, a laptop or any mobile device, and the FAQ says a learner who wants to reach an instructor should email the support address.
Buying a course
Each course is priced on its own in Bangladeshi taka, and several are free. The course pages list the bank AML & CFT course at BDT 1000, the non-bank version at BDT 900, the basics course at BDT 400 and Islamic Banking at BDT 1199. Arabic Calligraphy & Painting costs BDT 1000, Import From China BDT 670, Excel BDT 550, Workplace Etiquettes BDT 500, Sign Language BDT 480, the pivot table course BDT 460 and Social Media Marketing BDT 350. SQL for Data Science, Negotiating Job Offer, Introduction to Resume Writing and SDGs for Youth are free.
The FAQ walks through enrollment: click Buy Now, log in or create an account, click Make Payment, choose a payment method and pay, then click View Course to start right away. Bought courses stay in the My Courses section of the learner's profile. Accounts can also be opened with a Google login, and a forgotten password is reset through an emailed link.
Certificates
The FAQ says that after completing a set number of videos in any free or paid course, a learner can download the certificate as a PDF at any time. The About page describes "Sharable Course and Specialization Certificates" that a learner can add to a resume and a LinkedIn profile, and the site has a Certificate Verify page where a certificate can be checked. The certificates are Sudoksho's own; the pages name no outside body behind them.
For employers
The About page lists four things organizations and learners can have on Sudoksho: trainings leading to recruitment, where successful training preferred at a workplace raises the chance of being hired; a content sharing policy, under which a client's ready-made content can be shared through the platform to reach its employees; customized learning, with content adapted to a client's requirements; and the shareable certificates. Combined with the compliance courses for banks and financial institutions, this makes Sudoksho usable as a training channel for an employer in Bangladesh as well as a course store for individuals. A Course Request link lets visitors ask for topics that are not yet in the catalog.
Support and reviews
Support runs through support@sudoksho.com and the phone number +880 1836445588. Testimonials on the homepage come from an MBA student at IUB who praises good quality courses at a reasonable price, a business executive who took the Import From China course, an assistant manager who took a course on the fundamentals of sales, and a Dhaka University student who found the Excel course useful.
Who it suits
Sudoksho suits a learner in Bangladesh who wants short, practical courses in Bengali or English at low prices per course: a bank or financial institution employee completing AML and CFT training, a graduate preparing a resume and job negotiations, an office worker learning Excel and pivot tables, or someone starting an import or social media business. The free courses let a newcomer try the format. For employers, the custom content and content sharing options make it a channel for staff training. Its catalog is small and focused on Bangladeshi workplace needs, so learners looking for deep technical or academic programs will find a narrower range.
