Studyflix is a free German-language learning portal of short animated explainer videos for school students, university students and apprentices, combined with a training place and job portal. The homepage says that more than 6 million school and university students find free learning videos, apprenticeships and jobs there, and the page title calls it "Das Nr. 1 Lern- und Karriereportal" (the number one learning and career portal). Its page for employers describes Studyflix as the largest e-learning and career platform for school students, university students and graduates in the DACH region, with more than 6 million monthly active users. The site is free for learners, and the partners page says the employers listed there help fund that free education. A separate arm, Studyflix Business, licenses the video library to companies, universities and schools. The footer notes that Studyflix is "Part of the EMBRACE family".
The video library
The homepage promises "über 8.000 Lernvideos" (more than 8,000 learning videos), described as simply explained, short and to the point, and easy to understand. Learners choose between three tracks: Schule (school), Studium (university) and Ausbildung (vocational training).
For school students, the site offers 14 subject areas, among them mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, German, English, computer science, economics, geography, history, foreign languages, general knowledge and a section on school and learning. The Business page puts the school offer at 1,500 central topics in "didaktisch hochwertige Videos" (didactically high-quality videos) that let students learn individually and prepare for exams.
For university students, the Business page says Studyflix covers "mehr als 2.000 Themen aus unterschiedlichen Studienbereichen" (more than 2,000 topics from different fields of study) with animated videos, so students can prepare for exams from home. Separate menus lead to vocational training and dual study, to classic degree programs with a study place finder, and to jobs and internships.
How the videos are made
Studyflix puts its production process up front. The homepage says it invests more than 50 hours in each video so that a learner understands a topic in 5 minutes. For every topic the team checks which content is exam-relevant and condenses it into a short script; each video is then animated, and the result is meant to prepare a learner for the next exam in just under 5 minutes. The videos follow the content of the learner's curriculum, and an "Expertenteam" (team of experts) checks that the content is correct. Videos appear under the Studyflix name rather than under individual teachers. The section heading "Schau dich schlau" (watch yourself smart) sums up the approach: each video is "hochwertig animiert" (animated to a high standard) and meant to be entertaining as well as efficient. The homepage slogan is "Wir machen dich erfolgreich" (we make you successful).
The homepage shows two sample ratings, 4.85 from 12.4k ratings and 4.81 from 9.2k, under the line "Beliebt bei 6 Millionen Nutzer/innen" (popular with 6 million users).
Free account, practice and AI
Registration is free and, according to the site, takes under a minute. The free account adds "persönliche Lernpläne" (personal study plans), "unlimitierte KI-Unterstützung" (unlimited AI support) and a watch list for favorite videos. Learners can test themselves with exercises matched to their level, and the study plans help them keep track of what they have covered.
The AI feature is called Studyflix AI. The homepage demonstrates it with a learner asking for a simple explanation of photosynthesis and an answer about plants taking in carbon dioxide and water and turning them into sugar and oxygen with light energy. The site describes the AI as based on Studyflix content, safe and trustworthy, and giving immediate help. Alongside the videos, Studyflix offers Lerntexte, written summaries that link directly to the matching videos and include images and animations, for learners who prefer to read.
Careers and apprenticeships
Studyflix ties learning to the next step. When school, university or vocational training is coming to an end, the homepage says, the platform helps learners find the right job. The apprenticeship portal can be searched by city, with Munich, Berlin and Hamburg as examples, by employer, such as Lidl, DM or the Bundeswehr, and by occupation, for example retail sales assistant, personnel services clerk or chemical technical assistant. It also lists dual study programs in subjects such as marketing, mechanical engineering and computer science, along with permanent jobs, internships, trainee posts, working student jobs and thesis placements.
The partners page lists the employers behind this, sorted by sector, from Evonik, Siemens, ALDI Nord and Bechtle to savings banks, the Diakonie-Klinikum Stuttgart, the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence and Biochemistry, the Universität der Bundeswehr München, state ministries in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and federal waterway offices. Austrian employers such as Hofer KG and Siemens AG Österreich appear too, which matches the platform's DACH reach. The page tells learners that these companies help Studyflix support them with free education, and invites them to visit the employers' career pages. The employer page sells recruiting and employer branding along what it calls the complete candidate journey: while young people learn, while they choose a career and while they look for a job, with detailed reporting on campaign performance.
Studyflix Business
For organizations, Studyflix Business sells licenses to the library. The Business page offers "über 6.000 animierte Videos" (over 6,000 animated videos) that a company can integrate into its own LMS or make available to employees through the Studyflix learning platform. There are three license types: licenses for companies, to train employees and apprentices, with custom content produced quickly on request; licenses for universities, built on the 2,000+ university topics; and licenses for schools, built on the 1,500 school topics. The page calls Studyflix the market leader and promises fast, competent help in setting up e-learning. Prices are not listed; a buyer books an appointment with the Head of Customer Success, who is named with a phone number on the page.
Who it suits
Studyflix suits German-speaking school and university students who want short, animated explanations of exam topics in math, the sciences, languages, economics and many university subjects, for free. The study plans, leveled exercises, written summaries and AI helper make it a full revision tool rather than just a video channel, and the apprenticeship and job portal helps the same students take the next step. For a training team, a university or a school in the German-speaking market, the Business licenses provide a ready library of animated videos that can run inside an existing LMS. The content is in German, so the platform serves German-speaking learners first.
