Haufe Akademie

Tap a star to rate

Haufe Akademie is a German professional training provider that sells seminars, live online trainings, distance courses, e-learning and coaching to individual professionals, and a Digital Suite of learning platforms and ready-made e-learning content to companies. The company behind it is Haufe Akademie GmbH & Co. KG, and the footer gives its address in Freiburg. The site is in German, with an English language switch in the header. Its home page describes it as "ein führender Anbieter" (a leading provider) of professional training in the German-speaking region and claims "eines der größten individuellen Qualifizierungsangebote im DACH-Raum" (one of the largest individual training offers in the DACH region).

The training catalog

The home page counts "über 3.600 Weiterbildungen in 26 Themenfeldern" (over 3,600 trainings in 26 subject areas). The subjects run from general management, digital transformation and change management, leadership, personal and social skills, and AI and data analytics, through project and process management, HR management, payroll, learning and development, sustainability and health management, sales, marketing, product management, purchasing, logistics and supply chain, and office management, to accounting and tax, controlling, law and data protection, compliance, skills for trainers and coaches, real estate management, and the public sector.

Learners choose between several formats. Seminars and online trainings run in person, as blended learning or live online. Qualification programs are sequences of trainings that build on one another, sold as Career Lines (from entry level to a leading role) and Expert Lines (to become a specialist). One-to-one trainings pair a learner with a personal trainer. Distance courses (Fernkurse) are described as certified training, comprehensive and flexible. E-learning covers self-paced study "jederzeit und überall" (anytime, anywhere). A logged-in participant gets a learning environment, booking management, access links to online events, and documents and awards in one account.

The company also runs conferences and events, such as the Haufe Assistenz-Kongress, a year-end summit on payroll and employment law, and online days on controlling, social media and AI in marketing and accounting.

IT training from skill it

IT courses sit under the sub-brand skill it, which the menu describes as "Where tech professionals grow" and credits with "mehr als 250 Trainings zu den wichtigsten Technologien" (more than 250 trainings on the most important technologies). Its subject list covers Amazon Web Services, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, databases, design and publishing, IT management, IT security, AI and data analytics, Microsoft software, Microsoft technology, networks and systems, SAP, service and project management, software development and web development. For a reader looking for coding and IT skills, this is the part of Haufe Akademie that matters.

AI courses and Future Jobs Classes

AI has its own section. The home page promises "Über 200 praxisnahe Trainings" (over 200 practical trainings) on using AI at work, and the AI menu lists them as seminars, trainings, learning journeys, distance courses and e-learning from basic to expert level, plus AI in-house training for teams. The KI Lines ("Make AI work") combine a learner's existing expertise with AI application, taught in a fixed learning group with direct use in daily work. Free live webinars, blog articles and white papers on AI sit alongside.

The Future Jobs Classes build skills for new job roles. The home page says participants "zertifizierst dich durch Seminare, 1:1 Coachings und Selbstlernphasen" (get certified through seminars, one-to-one coaching and self-study phases). Named classes include Agile Transformation Manager, AI Agent Specialist, AI and Data Strategist, Business Automation Manager, Corporate Learning Expert, Data Expert, Digital Product Manager, Energy Manager, Machine Learning Engineer, Product Owner, IT Service Owner, Sustainability Manager and UX and CX Manager. The pages do not name an external body behind these certificates.

Business coaching is offered for specialists, leaders, top management and teams, and a New Leadership program focuses on "Mutig führen, Teams stärken, Performance steigern" (leading with courage, strengthening teams, boosting performance).

Solutions for companies

For employers, Haufe Akademie sells in-house training "vor Ort oder online" (on site or online), development programs in leadership, project management with international certifications, agile coaching and change management, consulting it says draws on "über 40 Jahren Erfahrung" (over 40 years of experience), and Corporate Learning Services that range from L&D strategy to Managed Training Services, which take over the operational running of a company's training.

Two procurement platforms help HR teams buy outside training. The Learning Procurement Plattform gives access to "über 60.000 Weiterbildungsangeboten" (over 60,000 training offers), and Semigator Enterprise is described as one platform to organize external trainings and coaching, integrated with HR and purchasing systems. A Coaching Management Plattform handles coaching.

The Digital Suite: LMS, LXP and content

The Digital Suite is the learning platform side. The Learning Management System is described in the company's LMS article as a mature, cloud-based platform that "SCORM und xAPI unterstützt" (supports SCORM and xAPI) and fits into existing IT through standardized interfaces. Its listed features are an all-in-one place for formats from classroom events to e-learning, compliance management with automated documentation and reminders for mandatory training, an interface that can be adapted to a company's corporate design and works on all devices, and reporting in a dashboard. A second article adds an integrated authoring tool, central planning of classroom events, webinars and e-learning for blended learning, and the ability to pull content from existing systems through interfaces. The Learning Experience Plattform recommends learning based on interests and prior use, links content to skills automatically and builds skill profiles for each employee.

Content comes in three forms. The Content Collection bundles selected e-learning courses in one flat rate (the menu calls them "Kuratierte E-Learning-Kurse"), with over 150 e-learning courses on topics from transformation and digitalization to leadership. The Content Kit supplies "über 2.800 fertige Lernelemente" (over 2,800 ready-made learning elements), from classic web-based trainings and podcasts to microlearning units, and the company says both the LMS and LXP support microlearning for deskless staff. The Compliance College covers mandatory compliance and awareness training, including the AI Act.

The LMS article includes a customer example: Lexware uses the Haufe Akademie LMS to train a network of over 350 sales partners, with role-based access delivering content, certifications and tests matched to each partner level.

Prices and terms

The home page shows no seminar prices; those sit on the individual course pages. For the LMS, the company's article states "Attraktive Lizenzmodelle: ab 1,49 € pro Nutzer:in" (license models from €1.49 per user), with scaling by company size. The footer also carries a link to withdraw from a contract and a "Zertifizierte Informationssicherheit" (certified information security) badge without naming the standard.

Scale and support

The home page claims the trust of "rund 690.000 Lernenden pro Jahr" (around 690,000 learners a year), all DAX 40 companies, and a recommendation rate of over 95%. Support runs through a contact page, an FAQ and a phone line, and larger customers get personal account management. A search assistant on the site suggests trainings from a plain description of what the learner wants.

Who it suits

Haufe Akademie suits a German-speaking professional who wants a seminar, a live online course, a distance course or a certified program in management, finance, HR, law or IT, and is comfortable studying in German. It suits an HR or L&D team in the German-speaking DACH region that wants one supplier for in-house training, coaching, external training procurement and a per-user LMS with SCORM and xAPI support plus ready content. It suits less well someone who needs English-language courses or wants a single cheap subscription to a video library.
