GoSkills

GoSkills is an online business skills library built on short video lessons, paired with an LMS, a learning experience platform (LXP) and a course builder for teams. It serves two readers: an individual who wants Excel, project management or soft skills courses with a certificate, and an HR, L&D or operations team that wants a ready-made library plus somewhere to build and assign its own training. The company signs its site as GoSkills Ltd., and the About page describes a fully remote team that works across time zones and continents, led by co-founders Bhavneet Chahal and Franz Ombler.

The course library

The catalog menu lists fifteen subject areas with their course counts: Artificial Intelligence (23 courses), Career Development (43), Coding and Technology (40), Data Analysis (44), Design (15), Finance (16), Leadership and Management (135), Lean Six Sigma (9), Learning and Development (14), Microsoft Excel (23), Microsoft Office (40), Office Productivity (21), Project Management (27), Sales and Marketing (51) and Soft Skills (145). The company's own LMS guides describe the library as "500+ expert-led courses". The pricing FAQ says learners study with Microsoft MVPs, Six Sigma professionals and industry experts, and that most courses start with the basics and build toward advanced topics, with each course description saying whether it suits beginners.

The home page shows the courses with the most reviews: Excel in an Hour (4.7 stars from 4,344 reviews), Customer Service Training, Leadership Training, Time Management and Productivity, Intro to Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Basics, Finance for Non-Financial Professionals, How to Prepare for a Job Interview, AI for Beginners and Introduction to Sales.

How a course works

The About page calls GoSkills "pioneers of microlearning" and says it has been creating bite-sized courses since 2013. Its format is a short video lesson "paired with a practical exercise, a quick 'cheat sheet' and a short quiz for every lesson." The About page puts the videos at 3 to 5 minutes, while the pricing FAQ speaks of "Short 3–7 min lessons you can take anytime, anywhere". Courses also carry practice files and tests, and a gamified layer awards coins, badges and bonus days as learners progress. The company says this approach is "boosting retention rates by 20% and accelerating learning speeds by 28%, achieving one of the highest completion rates in the industry." Those figures are the company's own and come without a cited study.

Customer Service Training shows what a single course looks like. Its page lists an estimated study time of 11 hours with 1 hour 37 minutes of video, a beginner level, 22 practical tutorials across seven modules from "Why is Customer Service Important?" to "Solutions", and a downloadable syllabus. The instructor is David Brownlee, presented as a business coach and speaker. The course shows 4.8 stars from 2,484 reviews, and the page says the support team and tutors answer course-related questions once a learner is enrolled.

Access runs in a modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and all courses are on demand. The home page adds a 24/7 AI tutor that explains concepts and answers questions, plus course recommendations so a learner knows what to take next.

Certificates and accreditation

Each course ends in a "Certificate of Completion", awarded on completing the course, and the site offers a sample certificate and a page to verify one. The pricing page calls these "industry-recognized certificates". The Customer Service Training page states "Accredited by CPD", and the pricing FAQ says GoSkills is "Accredited by CPD, with awards from G2, Brandon Hall and others." That is the extent of the accreditation claim: a certificate of completion from a CPD-accredited course, not a degree or academic credit.

Individual pricing

The individual pricing page lists three options, all in USD:

  • 7-day free trial at $0, a week of unlimited access to the library, then the monthly plan starts automatically unless canceled from the Billing page.
  • Monthly plan at $39 a month, billed monthly, cancel anytime.
  • Yearly plan at $249 billed yearly, shown as $20.75 a month, which the page says saves $219 a year.

Both paid plans include the full library, quizzes and tests, and certificates. The plan comparison also lists full access to Madecraft courses, which the trial includes for the first 7 days. Plans renew automatically, and the FAQ says a member who cancels keeps access until the end of the current billing cycle. Course pages show a 14-day money-back guarantee next to the pricing link. A free account gives access to 10 free lessons per course, according to the home page.

GoSkills also sells gift subscriptions as a one-time payment with no auto-renewal: one month for $39, six months for $149, and twelve months for $249, up to ten per order. The recipient gets a gift certificate by email with an activation code valid for one year from purchase, and bulk corporate gifting is handled by the support team.

For teams: LMS, LXP and course builder

The organization side bundles three products. The LMS is described as the place to "Manage courses, progress, and compliance", and the LXP as the way to "Deliver AI-powered, personalized learning." The company's LXP guide describes GoSkills as "a modern LMS and LXP for growing startups, SMBs, and mid-market organizations", with personalized recommendations, learning paths, gamification, 24/7 AI tutor support and bite-sized lessons for learners, and assignments, reminders, progress tracking and reporting for administrators.

The Course Builder is block-based, and the home page says templates and AI help teams launch courses quickly. The footer names the AI content assistant Genie, and the LXP guide says teams create custom training with the course builder and Genie AI. Free course templates sit in the resources section. One customer quoted on the home page says her team previously spent a lot of time managing SCORM files before switching; the pages do not say whether GoSkills imports SCORM packages.

The home page pitches the setup as fast: "Set up training in less time than a lunch break", with courses, training management and progress measurement in one hub, a personalized dashboard per learner and reporting for leaders. It names five audiences: individuals, teams, schools and universities, enterprise, and course providers who want to turn expertise into courses.

Team pricing and terms

The organization pricing page itself is a separate page, but the company describes the model in its own guides: "Transparent monthly and annual per-user pricing, with plans available for teams starting with as few as two learners. A free plan is available, with no implementation fees." The affordable LMS guide puts it as a "Free plan for unlimited learners", with paid tiers "starting from just two seats" and tailored pricing for larger organizations. The pricing FAQ promises teams the full course library, admin tools and reporting, and "No contracts, no minimums, and transparent pricing." The same guide lists one weakness in GoSkills' own words: "White-labeling options are limited compared to some competitors."

Track record and support

The About page publishes four figures: 42 million minutes spent learning, 139,000 learners who have completed a course, 33,000 five-star ratings for courses, and an average of 4.8 stars on G2. One team customer quoted on the home page reports a 59.2% course completion rate and says 24 of 92 participants were promoted in a year. For help, the FAQ says a customer success manager answers by message or phone, and the footer lists a contact page, a help center and product tutorials. The company also runs the L&D Explorers Club, a community for L&D professionals, plus a scholarship and Excel challenges.

Who it suits

GoSkills suits an individual who wants practical office and business skills in short lessons, a CPD-accredited certificate of completion, and a predictable price of $39 a month or $249 a year. It suits a small or mid-sized company that wants an off-the-shelf library of Excel, leadership and soft skills courses, plus a simple LMS to assign it and add its own material, starting from a couple of seats. It suits less well someone after a degree or a deep technical program, and an enterprise needing heavy customization or extensive white-labeling, which the company itself says is not its focus.
