What it is

TestInvite is an online assessment platform for organizations whose test results feed real decisions: HR teams screening candidates, certification bodies running credential exams, schools and universities holding entrance and placement tests, test preparation centers, and L&D teams checking whether training works. The home page says it is built for organizations "where assessment outcomes carry real weight" and that it helps them "secure exam delivery and generate reports that support decisions you can stand by." The footer gives the company's location as USA / Türkiye, and the site is available in English, Spanish, French, Bulgarian and Turkish.

The home page lists 5,000+ organizations, 99.9% uptime, a 4.8/5 customer rating and 10+ years in the market, and further down claims 1 million+ assessments delivered. Its solution pages are organized by use case (recruitment and hiring, corporate training, certification and licensing, education and admissions, and test preparation centers) and by assessment type. It also describes TestInvite as an AI-powered assessment platform, with AI "embedded across the assessment lifecycle."

Building assessments

Exams are built from a centralized question bank with 20+ question types, customizable section and page structures, and rich media. The demo exams show the range. A simple multiple-choice test comes with answer explanations. An English level test mixes reading, listening and video questions with matching and sorting items and penalty points. An aptitude test takes open-ended answers through a rich text editor, a code editor, a virtual keyboard and numpad, file uploads, and voice and webcam recordings. A hiring assessment demo combines a general aptitude test, a personality inventory and interview questions, and the home page demo adds coding challenges, chart analysis questions and timed video responses.

Time limits can apply to the whole test, a page, a section or a single question, and navigation can be free or linear. The demo tests end with a result report showing a performance level and feedback. Questions and candidates can both be imported in bulk, and the platform is built for high-concurrency delivery with bulk candidate management, including reminders, deadline extensions and access revocation. The site also has a test library and dedicated pages for English level, aptitude and personality tests.

Security and proctoring

The home page sets out six layered controls under the heading "Multiple security layers. No gaps."

  • Monitor activity. A live dashboard shows each candidate's progress, flags violations in real time and lets proctors message candidates without interrupting the exam, with post-exam session replay and AI violation flagging.
  • Lockdown browser. The lockdown runs from the exam page with no installation, detects tab and app switching and disables copy and paste. The demos add fullscreen enforcement and a choice between more flexible and stricter violation rules.
  • Unique exam forms. LOFT testing builds a different but equivalent form for each candidate from the same question pool and blueprint, combined with answer choice shuffling.
  • Exam flow control. Time limits per section or overall, and navigation restrictions that stop candidates jumping ahead or revisiting submitted answers.
  • Verify the test taker. Candidates show an ID document and take a live webcam photo at exam entry.
  • Reviewable record. Every session produces an audit trail with timestamped events, IP address, browser type and screen size.

The proctoring demos cover periodic webcam photos, continuous webcam video recording, and either one combined with browser lockdown in the same exam.

Reporting and analytics

Reports break results down by section, dimension and question, with unlimited nesting of dimensions and sub-dimensions. Results can be placed in context with group averages, population norms, percentiles, sten scores, benchmarks and cohort data, and score-triggered interpretation notes appear automatically when a score falls in a configured range. A sample report on the home page sets a candidate's grand score against the population average, with a rank, percentile and sten score for each section. Reports can carry an organization's logo, colors and custom header HTML, use custom templates for candidates, managers or clients, and export to PDF, CSV or Excel. Analytics measure question quality through P-index and D-index values, average score per question and option analysis for multiple choice, and test performance through score distribution, standard deviation, completion and participation metrics, and section-level analysis.

AI features

The home page names three AI capabilities. AI question creation generates questions on a topic at a chosen difficulty for the question bank. AI-assisted grading suggests a score for an open answer, and a reviewer can override it. AI proctoring flags suspicious behavior, such as a tab switch, for a proctor to review.

Compliance and data

The site lists GDPR compliance, SSO / SAML readiness, a 99.9% uptime SLA and an available DPA. It says encryption and secure cloud infrastructure protect candidate data, and that the underlying cloud infrastructure "aligns with applicable FedRAMP requirements." Role-based access controls who can view, export or manage records, audit logs capture system actions and data changes, and retention and deletion settings control how long recordings and records are kept. Test takers can be registered with anonymous unique IDs when an institution wants to limit the personal data it shares with TestInvite. The footer links to a trust center, a GDPR compliance page and an integrations and API section.

Getting started

Visitors can start a free trial from the home page or book a demo, and the site has a pricing page. The testimonial on the home page, from Geneva Scurek of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, speaks to the pricing model: "The customization fits our unique needs, and the point-based pricing is simple and budget-friendly." She also says the team can "test, proctor, and evaluate from anywhere with full control over setup and access." Video tutorials on YouTube walk through the admin side, and the site has documentation, a help center and an FAQ.

Who it suits

TestInvite fits HR and talent teams running structured hiring assessments, certification bodies whose pass or fail decisions carry professional or regulatory consequences, academic institutions that need entrance and placement exams to be "defensible and consistent across large candidate groups," and training teams that want assessment data to improve content and show results to stakeholders. Test preparation centers are a named use case too. The browser-based lockdown is a practical point for candidates, who do not have to install anything.

It is more tool than a teacher needs for a quick classroom quiz. Its strengths, from LOFT forms to norm-based reports and audit trails, earn their keep when results are challenged or used to hire, certify or admit people.
