What AssessPrep is

AssessPrep is an online assessment platform for schools: teachers create, deliver, monitor, grade and analyze tests in one system, and schools buy it by student count. The home page calls it a "Next Generation Assessment Platform For Every School" and says it is "Trusted by 800+ Schools Worldwide", with partner schools in 85+ countries. It is built around international curricula. The curriculum menu lists IB MYP, IB DP, IGCSE, AP, districts and other curricula, and the question banks on the plans page cover IB MYP, IB DP, IGCSE and CAIE.

The buyer is a school or a group of schools, not an individual teacher or tutor. Teacher and administrator accounts are free, and pricing is tiered by the number of student users. In this directory that puts it with the tools a school team uses to run formative tests, end-of-unit assessments and mock exams.

Creating assessments

Teachers build assessments together, with videos, simulations, images and what the home page calls "20+ question types", including audio and video question types in which students record their responses. On the plans table, Standard has 16 interactive question types and Plus and Max AI have 20. A math equation editor is part of every plan, and the higher plans get the advanced version of the Wiris editor, which the plans page notes is the one used for MYP eAssessments.

The question banks are the main content asset. The home page promises thousands of customizable, pre-built formative, summative and exam-style questions for IB MYP, IB DP and IGCSE. On the plans table, Standard includes a starter set of 20 assessments each for IB MYP and IB DP and 20+ for IGCSE, while Plus and Max AI open 400+ MYP assessments, 500+ DP assessments and 300+ IGCSE assessments.

The AI assistant

The AI features sit on the Max AI plan. According to the AI feature page, teachers can generate curriculum-aligned questions and mark schemes from text, images or PDFs; set parameters such as question type, marks, syllabus topic and difficulty; create variations of existing questions with step-by-step solutions; and turn existing PDF assessments into digital interactive ones. An AI writing assistant fixes grammar, improves clarity and adjusts length, and assessments can be translated into other languages. The home page counts "500K" questions generated with the assistant and says AI-assisted authoring saves "2hrs" per assessment.

AI grading handles typed and handwritten answers, with a strict or moderate setting and a choice of tone. A feature the site calls seed marking lets a teacher grade a few submissions by hand so the AI can follow that lead for the rest. The AI page says no personally identifiable information is shared with the AI. A customer story from Singapore International School in Mumbai carries the line "Teachers can now generate fresh questions for IGCSE using AI & move beyond old resources."

Delivery and exam security

Delivery comes in three forms. For everyday assignments, a secure browser mode runs on any device with real-time focus monitoring. For high-stakes exams, Lockdown Mode locks down Windows, Mac, iPads and Chromebooks, and the deliver page claims "over 3 million secure submissions". The home page lists a math editor, graphing calculator, timer and multilingual support inside the secure environment. Paper Mode, on Max AI, lets schools run pen-and-paper tests while the platform handles creation, grading and analysis. A teacher from South Texas ISD World Scholars is quoted on the home page saying "We love how students can write by hand and then upload".

Other delivery tools include scheduled opening and closing, assigning an assessment to specific students, classes or groups, and guest access so students without accounts can sit a test, which the site suggests for admissions testing. Plus and Max AI add live attempt monitoring, described as live proctoring with indicators of which questions are answered, spell check in several languages (English, French, Spanish and German among them), speech-to-text and text-to-speech, and bilingual translation.

Grading, analytics and integrations

Grading combines automated marking, detailed annotations, anonymized marking on Plus and above, audio feedback comments and detailed assessment analytics that show performance and learning gaps. Uplift Education in Texas is quoted on the case study page: "Easily compare the beginning and end-of-year scores and measure student growth." The home page claims "92%" average improvement in results after one year of data-driven instruction, "3× faster" exam-to-insight delivery and 4 hours saved for teachers, alongside 5M+ student submissions and 1M+ hours of teacher time reclaimed. It shows a rating of 4.9 out of 5.

The integration page lists single sign-on, automated rostering and real-time grade sync with 10+ LMS and SIS tools, naming Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, Microsoft, Blackboard, D2L Brightspace and Moodle. It adds rostering and grade sync with Veracross and PowerSchool, and SSO and rostering through ClassLink and Clever. ManageBac gets a deeper integration with one-click setup, gradebook sync and direct task creation, and Atlas is a featured integration for tracking student progress on curriculum standards.

Plans and pricing

The plans page names three plans and publishes no prices. Standard, labeled Starter, covers 16 question types, a starter set of pre-built assessments, secure exam delivery, streamlined grading and LMS/SIS integration. Plus, labeled Enhanced, adds 20 interactive question types, the advanced Wiris math editor, the extensive IB MYP, DP and CAIE question banks, live attempt monitoring, anonymized grading, audio feedback, speech tools, bilingual translation and detailed analytics. Max AI, marked "Most Popular", adds AI question authoring, AI grading, PDF import, the AI writing assistant, Paper Mode and AI translation, and it is the plan with a "Start free trial" button; the other two go through sales.

The FAQ explains that pricing within each plan is tiered by the number of student users, that teacher and administrator accounts are always free, and that discounts are offered for multi-year contracts and groups of schools. A plan can be upgraded later with the school's data carried over. All plans include online documentation, email support, and free onboarding and teacher training sessions.

Who it suits

AssessPrep suits international and IB schools that want ready-made, exam-style questions for MYP, DP or IGCSE, a lockdown mode for mock exams, and analytics that show learning gaps across a class. Customer stories on the site come from schools such as the International School of Geneva, Vienna International School, Dwight School Seoul, Indus International School in Bangalore and Uplift Education in Texas. Schools that still run handwritten tests can keep doing so through Paper Mode, and groups of schools can ask for multi-school discounts.

It is less suited to a single tutor or a small private class, since it is priced and sold to schools by student count. Schools that mainly want AI question generation and AI grading should note that those features sit on the top plan.
