What Tadreeb LMS is

Tadreeb LMS is a free, open source learning management system released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPLv3). The home page describes it as a web-based platform that lets organizations "create, manage, and deliver structured training programs at any scale", and says it is meant for organizations, institutions and training providers that want modern, secure learning while "retaining full control over their data and infrastructure." It is maintained by BeyondTech IT Solutions, the code is on GitHub, and the project describes itself as "Community-driven. Enterprise-supported."

The product is positioned firmly for the Gulf. A dedicated page presents it as a learning management system for Saudi Arabia, built "for smart and modern workforces in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East", and argues that it was "built from the ground up" for the region rather than adapted to it, with Arabic support from the start. The site lists a presence in Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, India and Saudi Arabia, and names Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam as the Saudi cities it serves.

Building and delivering training

Courses are built with a drag-and-drop course builder and organized into structured courses, modules and lessons. Learners can follow self-paced paths with progress tracking, and the Saudi page mentions quizzes, tests and assignments to keep learning interactive. The platform is SCORM and xAPI compatible, so packaged content can run inside it. Learners reach courses from any device at any time, and the site stresses that remote and hybrid teams get the same experience as staff in the office.

Language matters for this audience. Tadreeb LMS supports Arabic and English, and the FAQ says "Your teams can learn in the language they are most comfortable with." The Saudi page claims this makes it "one of the few LMS platforms in the region that works equally well for Arabic-speaking and English-speaking teams."

Users, roles and certificates

User management covers administrator, instructor and learner roles with granular permissions and role-based access control, so each person sees what is relevant to their job. Organizations can connect their identity systems through SSO and LDAP, bring users in by bulk import, and model their structure with a department hierarchy. Audit logs record activity for compliance.

Certification is one of the platform's main selling points. Certificates are generated automatically when a learner completes a course, from customizable templates carrying the organization's branding, logos and personalized learner details, and the home page adds a full audit trail, expiry and renewal tracking, and shareable digital badges. The Saudi page says "our AI engine powers instant, automated certificate generation". For compliance programs, that means completions are recorded and certified without manual handling.

Administration, reporting and integrations

A centralized admin dashboard gives real-time visibility into learner progress, engagement and outcomes. The Saudi page lists what administrators can monitor from it: enrollments, progress, pass/fail rates, completion trends and certification status. A custom report builder produces reports that can be exported to Excel or PDF or pulled through the API.

On integrations, the site names categories rather than specific products. It says Tadreeb LMS connects with "HR systems, identity providers, and business tools using standard APIs and Single Sign-On", and that integrations cover payment gateways, online meetings, calendars and HR systems. The architecture is described as modular and extensible, and organizations can add third-party tools or extensions and customize the platform to their branding and workflows.

The home page shows a sample configuration file that lists version 2.4.1, self-hosted deployment, a PostgreSQL database and S3-compatible storage. Deployment can be in the cloud, on-premises or hybrid, and the site's pitch on ownership is direct: "Host Tadreeb LMS on your own infrastructure. Own your data. Meet compliance and security requirements with confidence."

Pricing, support and the numbers on the site

The software is free to download and use under the AGPLv3. The FAQ answers the cost question this way: "With Tadreeb LMS, the software is free to use. You only pay for deployment, support and customisation if needed." The comparison table on the Saudi page puts a figure on the managed offering: the Tadreeb LMS solution "costs $2 per user per month (minimum 100 users)". The same table lists Premium Support with a 1-day response and 1-day resolution, Monday to Friday, and the site promotes local support from BeyondTech IT Solutions along with professional customization and deployment services. Visitors can download the software, book a walkthrough or try a demo.

The home page states 500+ organizations worldwide, 2M+ learners trained, a 99.9% platform uptime SLA and a 48h average go-live time. It also says the platform grows with an organization whether it is training 10 employees or 10,000, adding users, courses and departments without rebuilding.

Who uses it

The site describes four sectors. Public sector bodies (government departments, municipalities and agencies) use it for employee training, compliance, policy awareness and mandatory certifications. Enterprises use it through HR and L&D teams for onboarding, professional development and compliance training, with structured learning paths and mandatory course assignment. Training providers use it to deliver learning as a service to customers and partners. Schools, colleges and universities use it for online and blended learning, assignments, grading workflows and assessments. The Saudi page adds healthcare, for clinical training, patient safety programs and ongoing staff training, and retail and hospitality, for onboarding, product knowledge and customer service training across branches. For corporate training it names banking, retail, energy and technology, and for government it describes rolling out standardized courses across offices in different locations with audit-ready reports. Its city notes match: Riyadh for businesses and government bodies, Jeddah for retail and hospitality, and Dammam for industrial and energy companies running safety training and certifications.

Who it suits

Tadreeb LMS fits Saudi and Gulf organizations that want an open source LMS they can host themselves, with Arabic and English for the same teams, automated certificates with expiry tracking for compliance, and a regional company behind it for support and deployment. It suits HR and L&D departments, government entities and training providers that need role-based access, SSO and LDAP, and audit-ready reporting.

The caveat is the usual one for self-hosted software: running it in-house takes technical capacity, while the managed route carries the per-user price and a 100-user minimum. The integration claims name categories rather than specific products, so a buyer with a particular HR system or meeting tool in mind will want to see it working in the demo.
