Mighty Networks built its reputation on letting a creator run a full network, discussion feed, courses, events, member profiles, under one native mobile app rather than a set of bolted-together tools, an appeal for a business that wants members to download one branded app instead of juggling several separate tools. A 2026 pricing restructure removed the older, cheaper community-only tier and raised the effective entry point, while keeping a transaction fee on every plan that Mighty Networks, unlike most competitors here, never fully waives.
The native branded app is the platform's clearest edge over Circle, since members get push notifications and a proper app-store presence rather than a bookmarked website. That transaction fee is the tradeoff worth doing the math on for a community with real payment volume, since 1% to 2% of every member payment adds up faster than a flat subscription once a community passes a few hundred paying members. It fits a creator prioritizing a native app experience for members over the lowest possible ongoing cost.
