What Speexx is
Speexx is a corporate people development platform that sells digital language training, business coaching, mentoring and intercultural programs to employers, who then enroll their staff. It is built for HR and L&D teams rather than for individual learners buying a course for themselves. The About page says the company was founded in 2012, has more than 2,000 staff, trainers and coaches, and is located in Munich, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Sao Paulo, New York and Shanghai. The same page says more than 1,800 brands and organizations use Speexx, that it has more than 8 million users and customers in 80 countries, and describes Speexx as "one of the most widely used corporate online coaching and assessment solutions for business coaching and language training for 50+ languages."
Language training
The pricing FAQ describes the language product as "personalized, digital learning for business professionals in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian," combining AI-powered learning paths with live sessions from certified trainers. A learner's path runs in a set order. It opens with a personal needs analysis that sets goals and focus areas, and Speexx uses the results and its own algorithms to match trainers and learning content to each user. Next comes a placement test based on the CEFR, the European framework the home page calls the most widely used proficiency scale in the world. The company says the test plugs into existing LMS or recruitment platforms and returns results the same day, so training can start right away.
From there, personal trainers guide structured learning and assignments, correct writing, run video skills activities and give feedback, while a chat service in the Speexx app offers instant coaching between lessons. Speexx Talk is the AI conversation feature: learners hold realistic, job-focused conversations matched to their language level and professional context, with real-time feedback on grammar, clarity, pronunciation and confidence. The company is specific about where this runs. It says Speexx runs entirely on its own secure servers, with no third-party AI integrations and no company data exposure, and calls the setup "100% GDPR compliant."
Live practice comes in two forms. The home page lists more than 500 easy-to-book live communication classes a week at three language levels, held in video rooms with other learners and coaches. Learners on the premium tier can also schedule 1:1 meetings with a personal coach for targeted work such as presentation practice and preparation. Smart Goals, badges, notifications and a Success Hub keep learners moving, and the product updates page lists additions such as a voice-only mode, a messages feature, Speexx Matchmaker for language training, onboarding videos, and new content on finance, banking, investing and automotive topics.
For every level reached, Speexx issues a CEFR certificate, which the FAQ describes as a Speexx Certificate of Completion aligned to CEFR levels A1 to C1. Learners can share it with peers or on LinkedIn straight from their profile, and training managers see results and certificate status in the Speexx Manager app.
Coaching, mentoring and intercultural programs
The coaching side is as developed as the language side. Speexx Coaching is a digital-first service in which coachees work with certified coaches on leadership, communication and performance skills aligned with the employer's strategy and values. The home page calls it "The only fully integrated platform for all coaching formats," covering 1:1, group, team and AI coaching. Each coachee's needs are analyzed first, then Speexx Matchmaker, which the company describes as matching technology based on behavioral science combined with selections by experts, pairs the coachee with a coach profile. Coach and coachee agree on goals in a first meeting and work toward them in later sessions held in the Speexx app on mobile or desktop. Between sessions, coachees work through the coach's suggestions and a library of microlearning activities, including videos and e-books. A banner on the home page says Speexx is the only provider to pass an independent ICF audit for AI coaching.
Speexx Mentoring matches employees with internal or external mentors to build key competencies and talent mobility, using AI-powered matchmaking and structured programs with integrated feedback, scheduling and progress tracking. The intercultural programs cover foundations, training workshops and intercultural coaching; the FAQ says intercultural training is built into the language learning experience and addresses the culture-specific nuances of international business. Coaching and mentoring programs come with progress reports and development summaries.
Administration and integrations
For the L&D team, the Speexx Manager tool handles program design, user management, reporting and communication from one dashboard. The home page says HR can track employee and team development against CEFR there and manage bills and licenses in the same place. LMS and LXP integration appears on every product line. The product updates page names the specific connections: SCIM for managing employee access, a Workday integration, calendar sync with Outlook and Google, a 360Learning integration, LTI, xAPI, and language skills inside the Degreed LXP. The same page lists enhanced reports on 1:1 live sessions and monthly Speexx stats for users.
Pricing, trial and support
Speexx publishes no list prices. Its pricing FAQ says the price depends on the number of users, the modules chosen (language training, coaching, mentoring) and the level of personalization, with quotes on request. The same FAQ says Speexx is designed for mid-sized to large organizations and that minimum license numbers typically start at 50 users. For evaluation, the FAQ mentions pilot programs for enterprise testing and individual demo access, alone or with a sample group before full rollout. The demo page has a free trial sign-up where you pick a trial language from English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, and the site footer links to a "30-Days Free Trial." Support is multilingual chat plus an integrated in-app support platform, and enterprise customers get a dedicated customer success manager.
Track record
The company points to results from named customers. The Federal Administration of Switzerland has worked with Speexx for over a decade. ABUS, described as a leading German provider of security technology, reports over 95% license usage, an NPS of 9.5 out of 10 and an average of 35 learning hours per participant, and Greenpeace reports a 40% cost reduction. The home page adds more than 16,000 hours of learning at Volkswagen in the first year and over 90% of Audi users reaching B2 English or higher. It also cites 200+ international awards, a 4.85 out of 5 average coach rating, and a G2 ranking as Leader and High Performer across 18 coaching and training categories, with a score of 4.7 out of 5.
Who it suits
Speexx fits HR and L&D teams in mid-sized and large organizations that want language training, coaching, mentoring and intercultural work on one platform with one admin view, especially multinationals whose staff work across languages and cultures. The own-server setup of Speexx Talk, the CEFR-based reporting, and the Workday, SCIM and LMS connections suit companies with a formal HR tech stack and a data protection team to satisfy. It is sold to organizations rather than to individuals, and the 50-user minimum puts a very small team below the usual entry point. The language training FAQ names five languages, so a company whose staff need another language should raise that during the demo.
